Batarian's are the trolls of the ME universe. With this in mind they ought to have friendly fire enabled so that I can throw submission net on my teammates and sell them into slavery.

I think there's a pretty big amount of confusion in this thread. One skill (net) does not make a great class when that skill appears to be affected by the falcon/blank shot bug. If you're not having issues when you're hosting, that's great, but imagine if Warp worked 60% of the time and ask yourself if you'd think it was okay. I'm sincerely having issues with the net, and I don't think the net passing through things/doing no damage is something where I just need to learn to play. Yes the class is interesting and requires an unorthodox playstyle, but like the falcon I'm going to steer clear.

Yeah, it seems the net has the same bug as the falcon.

The following build works perfect on gold vs any race, though a little weaker against geth.
Net works on the following geth: Troopers, Hunters, rocket troopers.
The other geth's do not get stuck in the net but still take a lot of damage thanks to Electric Field.
Use the following build for pwning:

Blade Armor: 0
Shockwave: 4 Force & Damage; 5 Detonate; 6 Recharge speed or lift, your choice.
Submission Net: 4 Damage; 5 Damage and slow; 6 Electrical Field
Battarian Enforcer: 4 Damage & Capacity; 5 Power Damage; Sniper & Shotguns
Fitness: 4 Durability; Shield Recharge; Fitness Expert

Equip with a GPS, Spam Submission net for damage and tech bursts.
Use shockwave to stagger enemies, and alternative throw weak once in the air, and also to detonate Tech/warp

One skill is what makes any class worth playing.  Two good skills to make a broken class.

However, I've had games where my Warp, throw, nova, and Biotic Charge wouldn't do damage or even move enemies, so at this point the buggy ptp Net coding is at fault, not the character.

its the only new char i have and his net works great againts hunters but flamers or like others have said anything with armor its pitiful.. turian sentinal way better...

Run a Tempest/Hurricane with Ultralight Materials and either the Kishock/Valiant or a shotgun of your choice, depending on what range you like best.
Honestly, the Submission Net is the most amazing thing ever. It's like a homing Stasis that can electrify nearby enemies. Use it on anything with a Shield. Armored targets can take massive damage of you aim for Power boosts and cooldown reduction. Barriers are not an issue, either. You can trap Phantoms, Hunters, and Marauders with ease, along with anything down to simple Health.
Shockwave is useful for getting crowds of enemies in front of you to move, as the Blade Armor will damage anything that tries to sneak up from behind. If you have no skill, you'll hate the Sentinel.
The best part about the batarians is that they have the ability to accrue spare ammo out the butt, so choose those options and use your SMG to become a complete bullet hose.

You're a tank, in cover 90% of the time. It's the same basic formula for disaster as Krogan and Turian. They didn't reinvent the wheel here, they just put some new whitewalls on it.

Haha, no, dude. If you're in cover, you're by no means, "tanking." At all.
No other class allows you to maintain a high defense Blade Armor (Fortification, Barrier, Tech Armor)
PLUS
Area Suppression
Shockwave + SMG + Increased Ammo Capacity(Singularity, Nova, Throw, Carnage, Concussion Shot, Sentry Turret)
PLUS
Threat [Marauder, Phantom, Hunter] Containment + Area Damage (via Electric Field) + Shield Removal
Submission Net (Stasis; Nova, Singularity; Energy Drain, Overload)

The only Sentinel you don't seem to have a problem with are the human ones, which is basically an Adept with a bomb strapped to its chest. This can only mean one thing - you can't use it. If someone can't use a class, that's fine - I can't play as the Soldier, Engineer, or Vanguard to save my life - but don't talk sh*t about something because you suck at using it.
