Has the Justicar rendered the Drell Adept redundant?

My favourite combo is the Drell Adept (even with the reave sound) but I fear we are going to be reaplced by the Justicar.

The Drell's strength is of coruse reave, which primes and detonates biotic explosions.  Team it up with another biotic and things die fast.

Now the Justicar has both the Drell's powewrs (reave and the less useful pull).  Justicars also start with more health and shields, an aoe heavy melee attack and have the biotic bubble.  With the DR from reave, the bubble and higher defences, the Justicar is much harder to kill than a squishy Drell.  Plus the bubble protects friends.

Drell's advantages are a bit more speed, a funky martial arts style and cluster grenades.  While powerful, they are limited (especially on silver/gold).

I can see the go to combo now for gold runs being AA/Justicar over AA/Drell

I think we'll definitely be seeing less DAs as more people unlock the Justicar.

The drell can still detonate his reave quite easy while the justicar for me feels more like a biotic sniper and firesupport then a detonation monster

I would not say so. The speed a Drell has may come in handy based on play style, but despite their limited supply I would not discount the usefulness of the cluster grenades. With only Pull and Reave there is no "OH NO" move, nor a way to detonate combos on anything but basic or already very hurt enemies. The bubble is a cool move, but if you turn a corner and your life flashes before your eyes, it is not going to stagger a large group of enemies so you can run away.

I never specced for cluster grenades (only 3rd rank). They won't be missed. Justicar will be my new Drell adept.

There is offically no reason to play as either Drell class in MP.  If I see you as one, I assume you are not very bright.

Reave + Cluster Grenades + the ability to use GPS X with minimal cooldown penalty = monster

OR you don't have Asari Adept or Asari Justicar Adept, yet still want to play Adept.

I think I still prefer the Drell for a slightly more offensive play-style, as the Justicar has no way to self combo armored/shielded targets from distance. But yes, there is some redundancy.

They are. But not for my playstyle. The only thing I will miss is Drell's movement speed.

I think not having unlocked the Justicar or Battle Master yet is a safer assumption

The Drell Adept is more of a death-dealer than the Justicar. The Justicar is a support class that happens to have Reave. The bubble is all about support and it's useless if you're running all over the map destroying enemies like the Drell. If anything the Justicar makes for a new biotic triangle.

Don't forget that rank 6 bubble automatically warps any enemy that enters it if that option is taken.

Drop the bubble at a choke point, reave targets, watch them enter and explode. While they are still in there they get warped again, so drop another reave on them. Rinse and repeat.

The bubble can reave enemies if specced correctly, so Justicars can do BEs on protected enemies as well. That's enough of an 'oh no' move for me.

I don't think so. From my experience the low health and shields only become troublesome on gold, on silver I can run around without using cover too much and I rarely get downed. And they have cluster grenades which tear s*** up especially in combination with reave. The drell I think will be a more offensive class while the asari will be more of a support/defensive class
