One is called suspension of disbelief, the other is a hapax legomena, which is a death blow to storytelling credibility.

"Crass Effect" by The Game Overthinker (aka MovieBob)
http://www.screwatta...68-crass-effect
He also made a follow-up episode called "Aftermass"
http://www.screwatta...de-69-aftermass
These are not necessarily "pro-end" since he admittedly hasn't played and/or finished any of the ME games but he makes some really good points in regards to the overall reaction from the community.

I've never really been Pro-Ending per se, more Pro-Information. I've made peace with my preferred choice of Destroy and such, but MANY here have not done anything but grouse.
Even I can't take the negativity. People yesterday were going ON and ON about how four images presented by Bioware already ruined the EC.
Sigh.

It's typical human reaction. Everyone was excited at first but now they're thinking about the worst case scenarios. Some are even saying the EC might make the ending even worse than the original cut.
I hate humans.

I love the endings because they force you to think about very important real life things like courage, heroism, self-sacrifice, devotion, etc. I think that the entire ME Trilogy is pure phylosophical sci-fi book built around ways of thinking and moral choices. The book is very deep and instructive. It just could not have other endings... The endings are completely unpredictable and stun you first. But then you are starting to understand... That was the first time in my life when I had so many feelings and emotions about a story.
My emotional thoughts about the ending:

Completely agreed. The more I have thought about the ending, the more it has become apparent to me how brilliant it is.

I don't find it perfect at the moment. My biggest gripe was with the Normandy, even though it could easily be explained by using common sense. But, seeing from those pictures they put up yesterday it certainly looks like they're gonna address that issue. So who knows, I might give it the Perfect-stamp come Tuesday. ^^

Bioware certainly doesn't feel like it's perfect. Hence why they're doing an EC.

Actually, anything can be perfect, you just need one man to feel it like it. If other people were seeing it same, that's different question...

I'd really stop pigeonholing them to be the fragile, insane little birds you think they are.

My opinion is that they made EC mostly to make the ending easier to understand. For me the ending is already perfect, but I'll be pleased to see it in more details

What I've seen hinted at so far fits pretty well with what I walked away with three months ago. They're not really changing anything, they're just making it easier to understand.

Certain things have been tweaked though, such as the issue with EMS, which means they have addressed the Shepard breathing scene.
That all fits within making things easier to understand.
