I actually didn't like femshep that much. Does that make me sexist? lol

Not necessarily. I hardly ever play ManShep myself. To each his/her own.

She does a fantastic work, although I don't really like her voice, but it's personal. I like playing my own language because of it.

You know, I remember when EVERYBODY on these forums hated either Bastila Shan, or Carth. Seems like all the dudes hated Carth, but all the girls hated Bastila. Bad acting or poor scripting? I don't know, I liked them both, but I was apparently in the minority.

Yes, much <3 for Jennifer Hale. Usually I would only play as a male character, but she gives us dudes a good reason to play ME with a female Shepard.

Hale's VA work made FemShep the "true Commander Shepard", for me, way back in ME. She just got better and better, as Shepard's character developed.

She did great job but I think Tricia Helfer may have out shined her as EDI this time around.

Especial when she got all protective of Joker and crew.

I.. ahem.. disliked Bastila, but only because she was so very well written. I generally dislike all Jedi, excepting Revan, Luke and Jolee Bindo, for their "holier than thou" attitude and utterly flawed view on the Force. And Bastila was SUCH A Jedi!!! Jen played her perfectly.

But then the woman holds a special place in my heart and game shelf since Grandia 2 / Eternal Darkness.

She and Meer were fantastic.
Hale was brilliant throughout, and I really think that Meer got better and better with each game.

Yup, one of the reasons I generally play female Shepards - her voice adds a lot to the character.

Both Sheps were awesome, but Femshep is the only way to play renegade imho.

This sounded like a birth notice or something. Haha. Woooo Jennifer Hale! She was the reason I started as female Shepard.

Great performance, but she'll always be Bastila Shan to me. In fact, a little English accenting is the only thing that would've made Femshep even better.

I thought this too at first, having come to ME straight from KotOR, but Shepard's voice grew on me.

*puts hand up* I didn't mind either of them ...

Nowhere did the OP say that Hale was better than Meer, this is simply a thread appreciating Hale. Why do you keep trying to make this into a femshep vs maleshep thread? :?

Can I thank both Hale and Meer? They are both pretty awesome.

I never understood why people gush over Jennifer Hale so much. David Ten- I mean Mark Meer did sound rather monotone in Mass Effect 1 but improved a lot by the sequel and did a superb job in 3. Hale always sounded so... eh, exaggerated in her tone to me. Maybe it's because she's a chick that people applaud her, I dunno.

Quoted for the lulz.

No, I rather think it's because of her acting ability, not her anatomy.

I could be wrong, though.

Mass effect wouldn't be mass effect to me without Jennifer Hale... my wife and I are huge fans of voice actors and know many of the popular voice actors who voice video games anime and everything... I can say honestly that Jennifer Hale delivered the best performance I've ever heard in any media format. Absolutely brilliant Jennifer! Good job and thank you!

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and agree with this... People going overboard about it doesn't make any sense... I've done the whole Femshep thing, it's not groundbreaking...

I can understand not enjoying her voice (everybody has their own prefrences) but to insinuate that the only reason so many people like her is because of her gender is insulting, not only to her as a professional voice actress, but to her fans as well.
