Now excuse me as I go back to drawing Cinderella doing a renegade interrupt and shooting Lady Tremaine in the face.

That delivery alone puts her VO work amongst the greatest in the history of video games.

This goes out to the rest of the VA's. Except for Chobot. No offense but her acting sucked as much as her character.

I'm so sorry that a soldier is not doing her best to titilate you.

I really can't say what it was about Mark in the first game that turned me off of his work, but it could be that to my ears, he ... wasn't even emoting. It felt like he was just reading lines. And I thought it was a deficiency of his abilities that was causing this... all the way til Jethann from DA2 proved that he has nuance, style, and range. Meanwhile his performance in ME1 made it impossible for me to get past Eden Prime... or my brother, who became a Femshep player shortly thereafter.
Apparently he explained once, he's trying to do a level (didn't say flat) character so that the player reads everything into it. Whatever his choices, I never could get through the first game with him. I also thought the comparisons for the second one gave Jen the nod by a little bit, too, though it tells you how much he's improved in a way.
Still... Bastila, Femshep, Zatanna, Samus... I can't argue with that. At all. Even if I wanted to. Can't argue with the most VA jobs in history, either, and look it up, she's in Guiness for it.
(Plus I love how she and Ali Hillis pretty much actively flirt with each other, even if it's just being silleh or teasing us or -- most likely -- purely for fun, on Twitter and such, but that's just me. And all of the LDG members among others

She's good but excessively overrated. I expected my ears to orgasm at the sound of her amazing acting only to be provided with an above average performance, nothing more. She's no better than Mark Meer and the pair of them are behind quite a large chunk of the rest of the cast I think.

She's the definitive Shepard as far as I'm concerned. She took what could've been a stock role and made her into the closest thing video games will ever have to a Ripley or possibly a space age Boudicia.

I personally enjoyed her voice acting better than Mark MeerRilke21 wrote...
Regardless of what I think about (the end of) ME3, I just wanted to thank Jennifer Hale for her exceptional work. I have a background in theatre, and I've enjoyed Jennifer's voice overs on a number of Bioware titles. But her work in ME3 deserves a special note...she just nails it. It's honestly some of the best voice acting I've ever heard.
So, thank you Jennifer! Keep up the great work, and all the best in your future projects!

Ali Hillis is great, too. ME just wouldn't be the same without them, not even close. The rest of the cast is good too (I'm assuming including Meer, but once I heard Hale, femShep was the only one I can really play)

but that wasn't her fault. she just did very well with the script she was given. so Kudo's etc.

Okay, I agree, but what about the others? I think the whole team did great! I admit though, Jennifer Hale did make an awesome FemShep. She'll be missed when future ME titles are released.
I vote that ME 4 feature a reaper vessel with N7 on the hull as the hero's ship. The reaper intelligence performing an EDI (Me 2)type role should, of course, be voiced by Hale.

As someone mentioned already, I'm not taking any shots at the other voice actors at all. Meer is very talented (I've seen him in some excellent roles here in Edmonton,) but his Shepard doesn't leap out at me as one of his best roles. He does a good job, but you should see him as Salvador Dali

are there any examples of where her performance is worlds better? im not trying to sound negative, i just genuinely dont understand the...fanatic love she gets over other voice actors. shes good, yes, but youd think she was reciting shakespeare while everyone else was reading from a comic book or somethin
To be honest, I've barely started my second play through, but there have been a number of moments already. (I also just recently played 1 and 2 back to back, so I feel like I have a decent perspective on how the Shepard character developed.)
The moment that really got me is near the begining, when Shepard visits Kaiden at the hospital for the first time. Hale's delivery provided meaning that went far beyond the text...it was subtle, believable and touching without being at all overdone. She just nailed it...it's hard to put into words. She created the moment perfectly, and added depth to the text that wouldn't have been there without her. (In a way, it IS like she's reading shakespeare while everyone else is reading a comic book
I also loved Bastila...she totally brought that character alive.
Keep up the support! As dissapointed as many of us are with the ending, playing this game through a second time has given me some persepective on how excellent it (almost) was. It's nice to see some positive feedback. If not for the ending, this could be one of the best games ever made...and Jennifer Hale made a great contribution to that.

LOL... to be fair I don't like Mark Meer's voice much. Haven't tried to play a maleshep since ME 1, and the rest of the cast brought their A game to ME 3 (too bad Chobot's best was a D- compared to the rest)
