She's my favourite voice actor, better than Nolan North, David Hayter and Steve Blum combined.

FemShep was my first Shepard, and that's the way I'll always think of Shepard in general. I suppose it's kind of like how baby ducks imprint on something; your first Shepard is your canon Shepard.
That said, lot of FemShep's appeal to me did come down to her voice, which had some truly great moments that ultimately made Shepard seem like a more rounded and human character to me, capable of running the full gauntlet of emotions (meaning no disrespect to Mark Meer, as he's done some wonderful work on other characters in the series, but I've never been a fan of his more stoic portrayal of Shepard even after he seriously upped his game in ME2). With Hale's performance I felt like I really got a better grasp of Shepard's character, able to be strong and commanding when needed but also with a vulnerable side and real emotional depth in more private moments. As has been pointed out, her final farewells to Garrus were a particular highlight; you could tell that Shepard was really hurting, knowing that she might never see this guy who has stood by her side through thick and thin again, but is clearly trying to put on a brave face knowing what's to come. It's a masterful moment expertly handled.
So yeah, kudos to Hale indeed, in fact to all (or rather the majority of) the Mass Effect voice actors.

i dont get the jennifer hale overlove. i didnt find her performance any better or worse than malesheps. shrug
Me either. I mean Jennifer Hale is a very talented voice actress and she did a really great job on the Mass Effect series, but so did Mark Meer. I wouldn't say Hale was any better or worse than Meer.

Regardless of what I think about (the end of) ME3, I just wanted to thank Jennifer Hale for her exceptional work. I have a background in theatre, and I've enjoyed Jennifer's voice overs on a number of Bioware titles. But her work in ME3 deserves a special note...she just nails it. It's honestly some of the best voice acting I've ever heard.
So, thank you Jennifer! Keep up the great work, and all the best in your future projects!

Fan since, and her work in ME3 is astounding, she's been pushing Shepard to the next level. Some favourites:
"It's not so bad once you get used to the soft food and hot beds"
"It'll be a hell of a short war if they don't"
"Don't let them get the female!"
And many others.

Jennifer if you ever read this, thanks for making the Mass Effect experience so awesome for me. Ever since "feels like the morning after shore leave" you had me hooked. Never looked back.

Jennifer Hale>ME3
I'll second that, but with one caveat: ME2 > ME1 > Mark Meer > ME3 Multiplayer > Jennifer Hale > ME3 campaign
