Now that Commander Shepards story is over I really I hope she'll get to voice more main protagonists (or maybe antagonists?) in games. Hell, I would like her to voice a DA3 companion.

Regardless of what I think about (the end of) ME3, I just wanted to thank Jennifer Hale for her exceptional work. I have a background in theatre, and I've enjoyed Jennifer's voice overs on a number of Bioware titles. But her work in ME3 deserves a special note...she just nails it. It's honestly some of the best voice acting I've ever heard.
So, thank you Jennifer! Keep up the great work, and all the best in your future projects!
Yeah, I agree with all this...she made Shepard friggen excellent!

More love for Mark Meer! After seeing some scenes of femshep I have to say I like his performance better. It sounds more natural to me. I don't understand why people always talk bad about him.
Those who prefer femshep that talk bad about Mark Meer is because his Shepard doesn't put any real emotion into his character. Hale gives FemShep real life, she sounds authentic, she has emotion in everything she says. Meer... Meer doesn't his Shepard at least to me is flat, sounds boring and it sounds as if he himself is bored.
I hope this helps explain why many of us FemShep players both male and female prefer her over Male Shep.

I dont know if it was how my own shep's face matched Jennifer Hale's voice, but during the part where thane dies and she says "why did the last verse say 'she'?", I just put down my controller, and curled up into a little ball and cried.

Jennifer Hale is great!
She IS the one and only Commander Shepard to me and one of the main reasons I got so attached to this character since the first game!
And I still wish for a Dragon Age Origins where she voices my female cousland warden...that would be too cool...

With Hale's performance I felt like I really got a better grasp of Shepard's character, able to be strong and commanding when needed but also with a vulnerable side and real emotional depth in more private moments. As has been pointed out, her final farewells to Garrus were a particular highlight; you could tell that Shepard was really hurting, knowing that she might never see this guy who has stood by her side through thick and thin again, but is clearly trying to put on a brave face knowing what's to come. It's a masterful moment expertly handled.
Great post! It's this kind of craftsmanship that really makes her preformance noteworthy.

Because nothing says you're focused on the mission than sounding emotional all the time.

ME3 has its problems, but the voice acting is NOT one of them. I believe it will be held up as the benchmark of voice acting for all future games.

Edit: Not to mention practically ever other voice actor in the game as well. With -very- few exceptions, Bioware did a hell of a job picking their voice actors for the entire Mass Effect trilogy.

Hale's performance is the exact opposite of his, IMO. Throughout the whole series she's kept me entertained and she's never provided a dull moment that I can think of.

I'm SO glad she turned down the steaming pile that was Other M. Her legacy remains untarnished.
She was actually planned to voice Samus in Other M? I know she did her "grunts" in the Metroid Prime Trilogy. (Which I highly reccomend to people here BTW.)
