   I recently purchased the mirror for Morrigan.  As I would later discover, this gift has a significant role in influencing Morrigan's favor.  Anyway, I used it in a significant battle against *spoiler* after two of the four party members fell, leaving Morrigan and myself.  After the cut scene referring to the mirror's significance, my fallen party members were revived and recovered full HP/stamina.  Let me get to my point...
Maybe this and other gifts for the appropriate character/s can be used during an important boss fights--let's say as a trump card.  It sounds resourceful for the console, at least.  Obviously, if you are willing to go to such measures on the PC, it is more likely you'll abuse the console commands.  Would anyone be so kind as to update this thread if they can duplicate this exploit on the 360?
Anyways, just thought I would share this with everyone in case it hasn't been documented yet.  Cheers.

So in the middle of a boss fight where your party members are falling, you stop to give Morrigan a golden mirror? At which point, you do that cut scene and all your party are revived whole?

I have had my characters, for some odd reason, become alive again after falling during a tough fight, for no reason that I can imagine. It's only happened twice. Once in two different games. Both times I thought maybe it was Wynne, except she was one of the ones who fell. And no, it wasn't the random (not so random) encounters that are necessary for her to get the spirit power thing.

As far as I know, it's unexplained. She didn't resurrect them, once she wasn't even there. But another time, I know I fought a very long battle alone because all my folks died, and I had already fought so long I wasn't goign to give up because I didn't want to reload and fight it again (one of those dratted fights in Branca's thing). The one where spirits kept being created. It was me, out of potions, running from lyrium vein to lyrium vein (you know they will restore 60 health per pull...even for a warrior, right?) Fighting a little, knocking folks down, hitting the anvil, hitting the lyrium...for like five minutes. I can't believe I was actually still standing. I really thought I was done for. Glad I didn't give up.

Alas, that's not the point. Where did that mirror come from again...I haven't seen it this time.

I bought it in Orzammar from the awkward merchant dwarf who was exposed to unsafe levels of lyrium. I'd imagine every party member has a particular gift which can trigger a cut scene. Any idea where a list of such gifts can be acquired? I'll give you 15 silver for each cut scene triggering gift you can associate with a character.

I instantly have to think about Alistair, You find his Mothers Amulet in Redcliff... i wonder...

Zevran gets the Dalish gloves

Zevran also gets some boots that he has a dialogue for.. Leliana has lots of gifts that give her cutscene dialogue.. andrast'e grace, some boots of some sort, and I think the Nug.

Morrigan has another dialogue cut scene when you give her Flemeth's grimoire...

Of course I did all these in camp so I don't remember if they automatically start up or if I talked to the characters after giving them the big gifts.

I dunno but the XBO 360 forum is the only one to embrace this exploit.  So it is true, 360 players are generally better people.  I also hear we make better lovers.

Sten's Sword is a special gift that you get by doing his personal
quest. Leliana you have to be in a romance with her and talk to the
Idle Dwarf in Dust Town after she mentions wanting one.
