Could just be another plot hole and whoever animated this part didn't understand what the Citadel was made out of. Or maybe not.

1-Shepard was indoctrinated. Incomplete game, reapers still around. No.
2-shepard flew off the citadel survived being incinerated and the 200 or so miles to the ground.
OR. he survived ONE explosion, got thrown back, and had rubble including a cable from that hall with the bodies in it fall around him.
Hmm... logic...
Nobody knows what Bioware is thinking. Could he be in the Citadel? Absolutely. But looking around and seeing concrete and rebar, it kinda looks like London. I don't know. You don't know.
To just dismiss Indoctrination like that is a very closed minded way to look at this. Could Bioware have shipped an incomplete game and the true ending (or ME4) will come? Absolutely. We will find out in a couple months. But there is just as much evidence for Indoctrination/London as there is for Reality/Citadel.
Plus, they stated they where surprised and did not expect this backlash. Meaning they meant that as the finished game and they had said before that this IS the end. You can't have the end with the reapers still reaping and nothing got resolved.
Bioware has never lied to us before right?

The "cable" segment (if "cable" at all) is seen from too close to show an arc, with no angle to show perpective.NoSpin wrote...
And just another observation. The cables have a bend to them, whereas as the item in the rubble picture is solid straight up and down.

You know that those cables could've been from the conduit. And why would there be a glow from the conduit if the citadel blew?
I'm going to ask this everytime, do you believe he survived one explosion and landed in some citadel rubble. or that he survived falling and burning through 200 or so miles to the ground. or hes...indoctrinated...barf.

Then that would support the falling 200 or so miles to earth or IT theory.Jagri wrote...
I hate to repeat the final dash towards Harbinger but isn't their cables leading to the blue beam? I wonder if they are similar in appearance to those we find on the Citadel.
Or he simply survived one explosion and got blown back.

Very true.
It is incomprehensible, no impossible to me that a studio with such an attention to detail would put concrete on the citadel, or write 99% plot hole free story and just lay plot hole after plot hole in the last 10 minutes.
So when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.
But maybe it isn't so impossible.

The central part of the Citadel explodes. The Ward arms just break off. Given Newton's first law, it's quite possible they stay in orbit. The Citadel had a geostationary orbit, which is a very high orbit, so even if it deteriorated, it would take quite some time for the parts to crash to Earth.Zix13 wrote...

We should probably consider the entire scene instead of just his picture
It does not look like concrete, and since it's pre-rendered, I doubt they would have put such a weird texture for concrete : it's almost "polished" on the fractured faces, where we should see more crumbles and holes in concrete.

The problem I have with this being that the Keepers and the inaccesable core of the citadel are both housed in the Tower, which is clearly destroyed.Ieldra2 wrote...

ME1 makes it clear that the keepers are an essential part of maintaining the life support functions of the citadel. In fact, it is made abundantly clear that nobody else but the keepers know how to do this, which was apart of the Reapers orignial MO.
So, now do we assume that the Reapers have also designed an emergency contingency plan for if the tower was ever to be destroyed in order to keep the wards functioning?

Everything about Citadel in Indoctrination is from what you saw in other Mass Effect 2 mostly.
From moving rooms Shadow Broker's ship. The bodies collected from Collector's ship.
Since it is the same cable and on Citadel is an arc. It has a "dream" meaning to it.
Anyone take Dream Interpretation in Psychology?
Casey Hudson I give you props, you passed.
If you get hit by an explosion in real life. The first thing you will see in dream world when knocked out is things of the past. Even a piece of cable laying next to you. Then when you wake up in dream world you will see that cable many times over except twisted or in Mass Effect 3 case and arc. Then you go down halls which have no exits anywhere just narrow passages. Do you see any other passages except one way. So how does Admiral Anderson get to where he was and how did Illusive Man get to Shepard and Anderson if there is one way leading to the core of Crucible.
These are not plot holes but dream sequences.
Mass Effect 3 is for those with degrees in Psychology. Because, those of us with Psychology degrees understand Mass Effect 3.
I think Mass Effect 3 is a tribute to our Armed Forces who have to deal with PTSD on a daily basis. And, there are families which have to deal with these situations daily. Now why would Bioware do something like this? So people have a better understanding what we have to go through.
It gives us closure, that a Corporation like EA/Bioware has an effort on supporting the troops and sailors of our Armed Forces. They help us with the stress of real life and show even characters in a video game goes through the same problems.
It gave those of us which served with Pride closure, closure that Shephard has become Indoctrinated.
EA/Bioware/Lucas Arts are 3 game companies which support the Armed Forces and helps us in coping when we are in rehabilitation. They have been supporting our troops and sailors in the Armed Forces for over 20 years.
Every storyline in video games reflect on real life or movies.
Mass Effect 3 for me, really hit home. Maybe that is why many hate the ending it reflected to much on real life. But, it helps me. I have PTSD and this game helps me resolve my PTSD. It helps me rehabilitate into an even better person. My mental state is even better because I can relate to Shepard.
You need to read up on how VA is dealing with PTSD using Virtual Reality. I think Bioware just wanted to help us Veterans with PTSD. And, they helped me. For that Bioware, THANK YOU!!!!
