Not advocating, btw. Don't think people should do it, just thinking that this particular punishment does not have much sting.

I wouldn't be surprised if, when he got back from his 3 day ban, he lost his credits / things he might have purchased with them. If not, though, then yeah they could have made this a little harsher.

Well they really don't want to ban you permanently. They don't want to hurt their online numbers or the chance that one day some of these people may actually spend real money on microtransactions.
Exactly. Their best bet is to fix the glitch and hope that the people desperate enough to cheat to get items would also be desperate enough to spend real money to get them.

Because the random system is retarded and you make chump change.Faded-Myth wrote...
I don't get why people even do this. I understand some people are more interested in rewards and bragging rights, but I play for the experience and to, you know, actually play the game.

You may think you are one of the many to use this exploit, but sh!t happens and you do end up getting caught? You will regret it.

1) You characters, equipment, and credits are stored on the EA server. They don't need your permission to see their data on their servers.
2) Despite matches being hosted by players you still need to be connected the EA servers because that's where all your character information is stored.
So when you turn off online feedback, you stop telling them what class you're using, what weapon, how many rockets you use, which enemy, what map, total time, etc. However it's impossible for you to hide the fact that you just played a match and how much you earned, because the server has to know in order to properly update your experience and credits.
All they need to do is have the server automatically flag anyone who earns more than 75k credits per match (max Gold reward), and if that person gets flagged repeatedly, they can be banned automatically.

Ive only done it once but if I had as much free time as I used to id do it all the time. It's my game and its biowares fault for having the glitch. Ill do what I want I paid money. It's not like im cheating other players its ai ffs. Sorry if I don't wanna play a long ass gold game for 2 packs so I can get an smg and a shotgun. And @ regretting it...mehFieryeel wrote...
It's still not a reason to cheat.
