Uh... I don't hate Ashley. Even though I laugh at her look in ME3, she's still the same character, personality-wise.

I like to think what that with the end of the world coming, she wants to show off some of her girl side.

Ashley was always one of my LIs. I went with her once, and Miranda once in ME3. Miranda is what I'd probably prefer overall for my Shep, but they're both good characters.

"So Hackett has asked me to join his team."

*ignores persuasion dialogue option*

Didn't backtrack on her. Didn't like her in ME1, so she never gets out of Virmire alive for me.

Nope. I loved her in ME1. Her life story was actually more interesting to me than Kaidan's, and I found the whole racist and religious thing about Ashley way, WAY exaggerated beyond anything that she ever expresses in the entire game. I wanted to romance her on my FemShep. No dice.

I actually hate her redesign in ME3. To me, she's still the same no nonsense tomboy soldier, she doesn't need to slather on makeup and wear what looks to be miniskirt armor and get a boob job. ME3 was horrendous in how it handled Ashley, to be honest.

I've actually never romanced Ashley in any of the games (actually romanced Liara in all eight of my ME1 playthroughs), but I did save her on Virmire in the save I imported to ME3. I don't know, she was just slightly more interesting of a character than Kaiden to me.

I still think that her redesign is bizarre, plastic and completely unappealing, by the way

yeahhh... I tagged it in ME1 just because she did not have tentacles growing out of her head. That sh*t was still weird to me at the time. WAY to conservative in ME1 for a relationship imo... from ME1 in citadel: "I cant tell the aliens from the animals!" my reaction: "Jeesus Christ Ashley, we cant f*cking take you any where.". Honestly reminded me of my grandma with Alzheimers (ahh, hurts to admit.)

I shouldve saved kaiden, more insight, better soldier, more tactically minded, but, im cursed by the examples of chivalry same as most males. So when push comes to shove i'd imagine Kaiden wouldve known if its down to Man/Woman, the woman is probably gonna get saved first.

Thank god miranda came along in ME2, finally some decent tail on board the ship that doesnt waste my time with poetry, religion, her father.. And of course dat..... Personality.. 8D

/bromode off.

I liked Ash in ME1. In ME2 I could see where she was coming from, you were dead for 2 years, she had mourned your loss and started to move on when suddenly you show up working with Cerberus, a group you know had commited many horible acts in the name of mankind, so in my book she had reason to be angry with you at that point.

In Mass Effect 3 it's right after you destroy the Alpha Relay, to alot of people you look like a monster and as far as she knew you did that on behalf of Cerberus. After all of that she nearly dies trying to protect you and is back in action maybe a month or 2 later, that to me screems PTSD, she hasn't changed her personality so much as she has a mental disorder from all the fighting, you don't get over that in a few months, it takes years.

Think about all of that for a moment and you will see something much differnt then you do right now. What I see is someone who is broken from all the fighting, all the supprises, and all the pain over the past 3 years. What would help is more dialog for her, more character development on what they already have.

^this, but for just about every character/former squad member in the game.

I never liked her, but I saved her on one playthrough to see what would happen. Still don't like her, and she has gone back to being a permanent stain (I don't think that nuke even leaves a stain, but...) on the surface of Virmire.

Ashley is a vapor cloud in a nuclear crater on Virmire. Only regret is not being able to have Kaidan as her companion vapor cloud in the same nuclear crater.

And in no aspect can she be superior to Miranda.  Remember, by nearly all accounts, Miranda technically IS super-human.  Well, ok, Ashley is a much bigger b!tch, brat and whiner.  Granted.

mayn thought she was a religious fanatic and racist for some stupid reason.

She was a xenophobic racist. It was her role to highly the xenophobic and racist humanity that just had suffered to a big war with Aliens and now basically still held grudges. Even though her role served a purpose it didn't made her less of a xenophobic racist.

Than they make her hotter than Miranda and I notice many turned around and romanced her and even tossed Kaiden to his death to bring her alive for an import.

I actually have 2 prime saves, in the 2nd one she is alive, in my personal canon its Kaidan. Though i don't think she looks very much like Ashley anymore. Haven't really played the 2nd one. With that ending we have, there is really no incentive to keep playing.

Really, the more i try to play it, the mroe aware i become on how much simply fell short.

I saved her and regretted it ever since.

I saved Kaidan and i really had forgotten what a crybaby he was.

She was less of that than  Tali was. Tali was the biggest racist and xenophobe to join your crew who would have happily commited Genocide against the  Geth until she met Legion and you force her to play nice.

The sad thing is they never explained  WHY she changed and got plastic surgery. They just did it and had your  Sheperd act like she always looked and dressed that way. It was a huge injustice to her character.

Oh yeah! I hated Ash in ME1, but in ME3 I was like "We'll bang, OK?".

Shepard is a real ladies man. We all know the real reason the Council put Shepard in lockdown was to keep the women off him.
