- I don't give a **** that the Reapers are controlled by an AI.
- Ash is one of the best.
- Kasumi is one of the best, and her loyalty mission is one of the best.
- Like human squaddies better than alien squaddies (except for Garrus. He's equal).
- Disliked ME1's ridiculously large inventory system.
- Couldn't give two ****s about game romance.
- Prefer thermal clips over unlimited ammo.
- Never connected with Wrex (or Krogan in general).
- Dislike Javik immensely.
- Like Kai Leng's design.
- Paragon is lame as hell.

Hummm trying to think of unpopular ones...

-I dont like Miranda at all.One of my least like characters in the trilogy,

-Shepard is Male.(I also prefer Meer's voice,But Hale does a fantastic job so it is a hard choice)

-ME1>ME2.While i think ME2 had some amazing ideas, the loyalty missions, the way they handled the suicide mission,Shadow Broker DLC.ME1 just had that something magical about it.Best story maybe the best squad selection

-Dont like the Quarians(once you got to know the race in 2&3)

-Jack is awesome

-I dont find Liara annoying at all.Shes perfect for the role she plays.(this one might be popular i just see a lot of talk of her being annoying)

-Star kid is not the worst part of the ending.Lack of resolution is.

-hated all the weapon customizing espcially in one.

The person reading this post's favourite character is overrated and stupid. They're also a whiner.
Whichever your favourite game of the trilogy is, it was the worst one. By a large margin.
Your favourite ME race is horrible. Every member of it is nasty and dumb.
In general, everything you like is dumb fanservice, and everything you don't is deep and meaningful.
Most of the people in this thread are idiots.
My opnions matter more than yours.

I win; my opninions are the least popular.

Ashley is one of the best characters
Don't care for Liara or Tali that much
MaleShep > FemShep
Didn't like ME1 all that much
Starbrat and plotholes and space magic were not my biggest gripes with the ME3 ending. I hated all of it that's for sure but the biggest problem for me was the fact that you get hit by Harbingers laser at all, just killed the pace of the game for me.

I actually liked the ME1 "ammo" system more than the thermal clips (and lets be honest - having to carry around heatsink vs auto-cooling energy weapons... why would they take a step back technologically?)

There is only one other ending I would like - one in which Shep can convince the magical star child that organics can learn unity (based on all of the cooperation you organize in the game) and that both organics and synthetics can coexist (would need to have the Geth and Quarians stop their war). So yeah, I would be happy if we only got ONE more ending... even if Shep died of injuries.

I have no problem with From Ashes and think that the people that threw a fit about it, even when given an explanation, are childish.

I think that Vanguards can be useful in higher level Multiplayer (though I still think most are a hybrid of Rambo and Leeroy Jenkins thinking that they are actually everything that the internet has claimed Chuck Norris to be).

Ditto for Krogan in Multiplayer

Even though Tali was the ultimate romance of my "main" character and a character I think is extremely well designed and developed, I was extremely sad to see Jack only in a side mission and the Citadel - I thought she was the best romance of all. After all, the Paragon path romance for her has you leading her down a path of self discovery and has her realizing that she isn't the monster she think she is. THAT is amazing if you ask me.

ME2 felt like a hybrid of a shooter and The Dating Game.

Even after being disappointed by the endings, I still love this game so much that I will complete it on every character I've made and will continue to play the multiplayer for a long time.

I love the Mako and the exploring in ME1 as well as the inventory

I don't really care for Liara, Kasumi, Joker, Samara, Thane or Grunt (would include Miranda and Jacob but I don't think that's an unpopular opinion).

Cerberus' and TIM's role in ME3 makes no sense whatsoever

I think ME2 is the worst game in the series

I like the Batarians

I think the Garrusmance is the best BW romance ever for several reasons

I actually like the combat in ME1 (shocker I know).

Even though I liked ME3 overall I still think the game was rushed and wish it would have been longer and included more worlds and sidequests.

I don't like the EDI/Joker plot or that EDI got a body.

I liked Cerberus and TIM in ME2.

I think TIM is a **** antagonist in ME3

I liked the Mako quite a lot.

I find the Batarians interesting.

I think Thane and Kasumi have no bloody place on a suicide mission in Mass Effect 2.

Because he complained to Shepard that their were to many cerberus ships, and even if you don't count that he still leaves you a bunch of times.

- Ashley and Kaidan were unreasonable and annoying
- Tali is incredibly an over-rated character
- EDI having a body is pretty cool
- Cerberus isn't 100% evil
- Interspecies sex isn't exactly possible for most cases.

Loved the Mako - hated the terrain
Tali is over-rated. Quarians are just high-tech space gypsies.
Prefer Maleshep over Femshep.
Liked Liara's character growth over the 3 games.
Kaiden was ok. Hated Ashley in ME 3. I liked them both in ME 1.
Cortez and Vega were cool additions.
Kai Leng was a over powered drama queen, complete with trantrums.
EDI was cool.
Hated the over use of cameltoe in ME 2 & 3! On a robot. WTF!
Prefered Jack & Miranda in ME 3. Hated them both in ME 2.

Why do you even play it if you pretty much hate a lot of things in it? characters and sidemissions? If liked shooting things then you can find a lot of generally more shooter type games so go play them. I mean it, if you didnt like so many things about it that makes these games unique please dont waste your time. and while I could agree with you on some points(especially ashley) other ones are just nitpicking.

-Pretty much all of the human squadmates (Ashley, Kaiden, Jacob, etc) are bland and uninteresting.
-Bioware tried too hard to write Ashley as a "tough female solider" and made her come across as arrogant and reckless, as well as being an archetype first and an organic character second.
-ME1 had the worst shooting mechanics by far.
-ME2 had too much focus on characters and romances, to the point that the Collectors/Reapers seemed to be more like a sidequest than the main quest.
-Shepard's resurrection at the start of ME2 pretty much destroyed my suspension of disbelief. Even with all of ME's advanced tech, I couldn't buy it bringing back the dead.
-The Gears of War games still have better shooting gameplay than any of the games, and there's nothing wrong with ME taking inspiration from them to improve its gameplay.
-Making Cerberus an enemy in ME3 felt forced and plot-driven, especially if you were renegade in ME2.
-All of the romances feel forced and cheesy, and the "love scene" is just laughable and even a bit creepy (uncanny valley, again).
-Kai Leng was stupidly overpowered and existed more as plot device than an actual character. A villainous Mary Sue, basically.
-Making the Reapers so incredibly powerful from the start pretty much doomed the series to end with a contrived Deus ex Machina or the Reapers winning.

I take problem with most of these and agree with some.

-Romances are good and fine and I like them, there should be more nudity and love making and how about some sexy scenes of lapdances and BJ's

-Kai Leng was stupid and just silly

-Cerberus was an enemy because Bioware couldn't do it any other way because they're lazy and didn't want some players to get a different playthrough, killing replay value ever slowly.

-The shooting mechanics in Mass effect 3 is good and ME1 shooting mechanics was bad.
ME1 was the first game.

-The collectors weren't really plot related at all, the romances and relationships was more plot related and is what Mass effect 2 was about.

-Kaidan and Jacob are bland, Ashley is more interesting unlike Kaidan in ME1 who has nothing to discuss.

-If you can't believe Shepard was brought back then that is your problem as it will likely be very much possible with future tech especially Reaper inspired tech.
And if you buy in into ending you can buy into that and if you buy into Mass effect you can buy into that.

Can't believe anyone who would prefer clicking a button to scan a planet for side missions, to exploring the planet in a vehicle doing missions!

Shooting mechanics in ME1 are fine too.

- Modifying Shep's default face(s) feels weird
- Apart from Mordin, who's an all-round favourite, Grunt, Javik and Jack are my favourite squadmates.
- ME2 was the best in the series
- I was very disappointed we had to fight Cerberus in ME3, I hoped with renegade playthroughs in ME2 we could be the bridge between TIM and Hackett
- Garrus and Tali would be great characters but they get way, WAY too much exposition, being squadmates in all 3 games. After ME1 I didn't think I could be tired to death of Garrus, but there you go, in the scene with shooting in the Presidium I wanted to plant a slug in his forehead
- EDI getting a body and being all Commander Data is... just not a good idea.
- I hoped for more Batarians, perhaps a Batarian squadmate even. They've always been very interesting to me. In addition, which will probably be rather unpopular still, I think that what the Hegemony has become was forced by aggressive human expansion. The Systems Alliance bullied them, pretty much.
- I never liked the idea of Blasto the Hanar Spectre
- I was very disappointed with how Wrex was written in ME3. Used to be my favourite squadmate in ME1, now he's... not.
- Romance should have no place in ME3
- I loved the Mako. I liked the planet scanning (once you figure out you shouldn't bother with any planet below "Rich" it went smoothly). I liked playing cat and mouse with Reapers in ME3. I hated the Hammerhead sections in ME2.
- I never really liked Anderson that much. The game tries to make us think there's a strong connection between him and Shep, but I just never felt it. Same goes for Joker. They're both great characters but I'd place them below the actual squadmates.
- Vega was cool.

- ME1 had just as many plot holes as the others, they are just ignored.
- The Side missions with the Mako was not that bad.
- I have no problem with the child or the dream sequenses(Though it appearing as The Catalyst is not as good).
- I think decisions matttered in ME3.
- I believe the logic behind the Catalyst and the Reapers makes sense.

EDIT(Forgot a few):
- I believe ME3 was a superior RPG.
- I only play ME1 for The last 4-5 hours(form Virmire and out)
- I only play ME2 for the DLC and the end game.
- The ending didn't ruin the series for me(though I don't like it).
- ME3 is my favourite game.

- ME3 desperately needs the Mako or Hammerhead(mako was never the problem, it was the terrain)
- I didn't really care about Tali's face, even though she was one of my favourite characters
- Mark Meer does a better job than Jennifer Hale
- Not overly fond of Garrus
- Planet scanning needs to die
- I would also happily throw Joker in an airlock, probably just because he is voiced by Seth Green

Storywise, yes, one can argue about that, but if you look at the game as a whole(gameplay, etc.) it scores much, much lower. Overall, though I really enjoy it, I believe ME1 is an overrated game.

- Ash is way more interesting than Kaidan
- Mordin's change of mind in ME3 about the genophage pisses me off. Not being able to confront him about that until the end, where you must choose between letting him go to the elevator or shooting him in the back pisses me off even more.
- I ship Javik and Liara
- ME2 was the best game in the series
- ME1 was the worst
- I'm disappointed with the endings in ME3 and with DA2 in general, but I sitll believe that Bioware can do a decent work in DA3.
