If you are going to use BSN as your sample do it properly. The poll would lead us to believe that over 90% of people that bought the game are not satisfied.

There are alot of people who dont use the forums and dont always return games either. For example i got 4 friends who play ME3. None of them use the forums and none of them have returned ME3 but they all didnt like the ending that much.

I think there are alot more people unhappy with the current ending than Bioware think.

Just because the last 10 minutes of a game of a 30-40 hour game was less than stellar, that doesn't mean the game is faulty or broken.

I've gotten more than my money's worth from ME3. I know I can't speak for everyone.

The retakers are right here though, they aren't a "vocal minority." However, not all the people who hate the ending think that the game is ruined because of it.

There was an interview with "a leader of the retake movement" on Forbes who indicated that what they had done was.... groundbreaking (may have used different words but the same meaning was implied)

You can't use the total sales number minus the people anti-ending as positive ending. They fact is they're unknown, the vast majority of gamers out there aren't on forums. They can't be used as a plus or negative in any situation. The only statistic they can be truthfully used as is they bought the game.

As has been pointed out, Bioware has the statistics. They know how many people finished the game. They know how many started a second playthrough. The fact that they've commited to doing anything at all in response to Retake means that they believe the affected player base is large enough to justify the investment of dev time and money.

They're not likely to share those statistics publicly, but the data is there.

Oh make no mistake, I believe the people who are displeased with the ending are in fact a very large majority, but even analytic data regarding replays etc is only a number and can't be used for accurate information for plus or negative endings. Also PC Players might play offline, xbox players might not have internet connection at all, Yes there are a lot of them. I just don't think anyone can speak on behalf of the total number of sales as an indication of support or lack of support.

Why do you care? Maybe you should start a 'takedown the retake movement'. And you'll be so much cooler than them.

Thats all I'm saying too man. An estimated 1.5 mil bought it. This move my is a vocal minority of the people who bought the game.

Question, why is being labeled a vocal minority such a bad thing to you people. I've seen you get so upset by this. Just own it. Your a small percentage of the buyers.

Your right they did sell a lot of copies but a lot are being returned.also take in fact that most people didn't like the game so sales on the next game won't be the same...

@ aber.

Im really not mad at getting called out on my math. Just an honest mistake and I looked stupid. It was funny to me.

I'm more angry about how this tread is 3 page along and ive already confessed to trolling and people on the bsn go nuts over this stuff. I'm mad about the fans reaction to the ending. This little troll attempt is a way of venting

Ah. So what one person on the tv said represents what all those who support Retake think. I got you. I'm getting a solid feeling for what kind of thread you wanted to create.

Back to the topic at hand, every single poll I've seen done anywhere has resulted in a large majority agreeing that the ending was fraught with problems. It's not like the only people who feel that way are on the BSN.

And of course what the OP thinks is kind of moot at this point, since Bioware has proven by their actions that they believe that so many people were disappointed that they needed to completely revamp their DLC delivery schedule.

This poll shows about 4.5K people liked ME2.

http://social.biowar...093/polls/1659/

Do you think only 4.5K people out of all the ME2 game owners liked it?

Or maybe Bioware isn't so evil like some people portrait them and just want to make people happy.

Shep, don't know. Im not in the group. Ask them next time you guys have a meeting in the local high school gymnasium.

And why is it misinformation when the assumptions are that the game is doing well, is good, the endings don't suck and the info is taken as true, factual, or doctrine if it agrees with the idea that the endings suck and needs changing?

BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL CRAZY!THATS WHY!!

For sure. I get what you're saying.

But - by that language, people who LIKED the endings are an infinitely smaller vocal minority.

You could say the people who didn't like the ending are the vast majority of vocal gamers.

The people who did are the minority of vocal gamers.

Its the wonder of the english language really.

That poll is from this forum. 90% of everyone on the bsn hates the ending. It's not accurate to say that everyone hates the ending just as much as it is to say 1.5 mil bought the game (oh I see what I did there I just poked holes in my own argument...hahaha)

Let's rephrase, A LOT of peoe bought A LOT less hated the ending so much they did as my has they could to get bioware to change the ending. The other people either loved it, hated it but didn't care enough to do anything about it, or we're somewhere I between. Those were normal reactions. The 6.66% (haha devils, satans,) weren't normal
