It makes me wonder if, behind the scenes, Patrick Weekes is having more input on the extended DLC writing than Hudson and Walters. And they're keeping everything quiet to avoid another leak.

I agree with you both. It'd be great to have all the info up front...hmm, actually, well no it wouldn't for me because I prefer to stay spoiler free as much as possible. But let's say then that I can appreciate how much many people really want to know exactly what's happening.

To which I think there are two points.

Firstly, they're still working on this thing. Rushing into something is arguably what went wrong in the first place, so let 'em work on it without having to put details out there.

Secondly, I want this thing to succeed so I'm holding out hope that this Extended Cut will help out. Comments along these lines give me hope for that too, even if it's only general hints and possibilities...it's good to know those are in the mind and not ignored, y'know? I'm glad Jessica is dropping in these quiet bits here and there.

Could even be a legal or contractual thing where they can't reveal all yet, I suppose. Or just trying to avoid the hype backlash again.

I think this depends on whether you're still pulling for this or you've already decided it just won't work for you. People got kinda burned and no wonder some will take that stance.

The micro-examination of tweets is another thing...140 characters or less is a very constricting medium to work in and sometimes things get lost in translation (or not included) from that contraction.

tl;dr - take things with a pinch of salt, but I truly believe that however this DLC turns out it won't be from lack of input from the fanbase.

Thats why the best thing is to just let ME3 die. Let Bioware play the art games until they realize the fact that they took a great IP and killed it with their artistic vision.
