I expect it will be good writing... especially if the rest of the team is allowed on board...

Will it make the game great? Well, not overly certain of that. It'll likely turn a good game with a lack-lustre ending with no resolution into a good game with a lack-lustre ending with some resolution.

I am happy with clarification, it'll help close the book. Honestly, I am kind of done with ME now... that's their ending, they chose it... I didn't like it, but hey, nothing to say I *have* to like it... and probably won't change my warning I give to people who think about buying the game in the future...

"A short but good game, just don't expect much from the endings..."

I am not really going to make a decisive comment on something like this until it is released. Something inside me is giving me the feeling that regardless of what BioWare does is going to be a disappointment. I don't think EA and BioWare can even fall back on damage control at this stage. I just have a feeling that the ending to ME3 is going to be the worst thing in video game history! I dare them to prove me wrong!

THAT"S A CHALLENGE BIOWARE, I mean it!

I don't know. The ending needs a lot of calibrations.

I was hopeful over the weekend, but then I saw the ME3 ending again yesterday, and I don't feel optimistic at all anymore.

If Shepard survives and reunites with his crew and love interest in one scenario quite a lot of people will be placated simply because that's what everyone really wants subconsciously.

First of all, the people who are enraged with the ending, are actually smart enough to see a hand job heading their way, which is to say, WE already KNOW the ending ISN'T CHANGING, so there's no room for unicorns and cotton-candy.

Also I might ask, have you not seen the egregious ending, and only going off other peoples' opinion?

It's all I can do to watch that contrivance on YT, much less have to face that thing on the Citadel.

I expect a vast, vast improvement. I think people may be surprised how much a thoroughly well-crafted execution and expansion will fill the ending in and make it good. Maybe even set up the existence of the Starchild with a bit here and there earlier in the game so it feels like he belongs in the story. Telling a story properly (instead of with non sequiturs) can make all manner of ideas work well.

I admire your enthusiasm. I just wish I shared it.

Unfortunately I don't think they'll be adding anything new pre-ending.

I have serious doubts based on some of the statements I've seen from Bioware people.

"Joker abandoning Shepard doesn't make sense, YET"
"The Mass relays weren't really destroyed."

Sounds like the DLC is just going to be a free for all of retcons because I know what I saw in the game.

85% of this platform's processes predict it will be too little, too late.
Recent announcements have moved an additional 10% of processes to predict that it will fix a sufficient number of errors with the end process to allow the simulation to run in an effective manner, resulting in 15% of processes "looking forward too" this update.

All processes believe that this should have been done in the first place, and that there is no reason for the simulation to have been as broken as it was. Shepard Commander deserved better.

This is actually the best course of action at this point. But this isn't exactly "easy" for them, so they probably won't do it. Just lots of clarification for everyone....

I fully expect 6 new lines of dialog, one 3 minute cutscene, and an hour long explination of the artistic meaning of each color.

I missed the fire sale at the magic crystal ball store, so I couldn't possibly even begin to comment to the degree of other posters who were there.

I'm holding out hope too. I really want this game to be good and I want to love it. I loved the Mass Effect series and universe. There's not a lot they'd need to do either, just fill in a couple of holes, and broaden the spectrum on the ending outcomes (gloomy to somewhat happy). Give us back options and choices.

So I choose to believe because I want to.

I can rage later this summer if it comes to that :(

I will have to see the finished product. Though I am hopeful Bioware will take advantage of all the fan feedback to correct their most grievous errors.

I expect it do exactly as they said it would, the Dragon Age II team proved themselves competent (for those who disliked certain things in the game) in the 2 big dlc packs after harsh criticism. What would be the point in assuming the Mass Effect team will drop the ball? Considering the strong possibility that the ending is still clean over a lot of people's heads anyway. The only thing it "needs" is more scenes to fill in the gaps. However I expect it to be far more than a few scenes and dialogue, that doesn't take months to do.

after this catastrophe, extended cut better like blow my socks off and I mean it.
Can shepard beat the reapers?
will he somehow "clarify" his way out of the crappy ending?
Will he have the final showdown against the illusive man and harbinger?
Will we see tali's REAL face?

Tune in next time, same bat time, same bat channel

I have really no faith in the ending being improved, if they are keeping the skittles option's for the ending then it is changing nothing just prolonging the agony....

It can't possibly be worse than the current ending, but good? No...not even close. This ending is so bad it needs a full rewrite - anything less is like trying to fix dismemberment with a band-aid.

No just adding cut scenes won't make this title any better. Bioware killed any real hope for this title with their misplaced Artistic Integrity.
