What about the Graal. I'm unsure as how to even use it as I never do, but it provides the same charging long range utility that the geth has... maybe, I don't really know

This thread has me yearning for the geth infiltrator. I've been rolling a Cryo/Claymore human infiltrator most of the last week, so I'm primed for some stalking. Can't wait to try out Hunter Mode with a GPS.

No Claymore?

You could at least make an addendum for it similar to the proximity mine.

I don't mention the Claymore for a few reasons - its advantages over the GPS are minimal at best, and it carries some disadvantages for a Geth Infiltrator.

The biggest advantage is that you can equip it with a Shredder mod and actually pierce cover/Guardian shields.

On the other hand, firing it is guaranteed to break cloak and you only get one shot with the cloak damage bonuses.  A GPS can be charged before you enter cloak and doesn't break cloak when you release the trigger to fire your pre-charged shot.  You then have time to empty the magazine with non-charged shots that will all get the cloak bonus (if you're fast on the trigger, you can almost always get two out with the cloak bonuses).  This gives the GPS considerably higher damage output than the Claymore by itself, but then you can add in the additional 10% damage boost that Geth get with Geth weapons and it puts the GPS over the top.

In all, the GPS is the best choice for the Geth Infiltrator.  The above apply in principle to the Graal as well, with obvious exceptions - the Graal can take advantage of the pre-charged shot mechanic, but does not get the Geth damage boost.

I just tried the 6/6/6/6/0 build on FBW:GG, and while we wiped on wave 10 (the other 3 teammates ran straight into 2 primes and 3 pyros with no missiles!) we got the credits then I died on purpose to speed it up.

That being said, my initial thoughts. No Fitness definitely means you have to pay attention, if a Prime so much as looks at you you should sidehop or take cover. I also died a few times just from overextending myself, like trying to flank around the side to tackle a Prime while not noticing a Rocket Trooper or Pyro sneaking up behind me (but thats more tunnel vision on my part).

The cloak bug also got me a couple of times (and that was the culprit behind a few deaths). Hunter Mode distracted me enough that I wouldn't notice decloaking while trying to run place a mine.

I might try 5/6/6/6/3 instead, not so much for the shields but to help with the cloak bug. I'll play a few more matches before I decide though, to see if I can just learn to avoid recloaking immediately and messing it up.

5/6/6/6/3 is the best, this class is a lot of fun!

I love the Graal. Bit difficult to get used to, but it's crazy accurate even without smart choke, you can headshot with it, and a charged shot only uses one round. Try it for a few matches and see what you think.

This class is amazing. I've stopped using the GPS on it because it causes cloak to bug out a lot though so I use the claymore. Which is still amazing.

Why wouldn't you use the javelin? Do they not receive sniper boosts from tac. cloak?

The only TC damage bonus that's Sniper Rifle exclusive is the rank 6 evolution.  A lot of the other Geth Infiltrator abilities seem geared toward a mobile, close-range combat style that favors shotguns - the short range on Hunter Mode's enhanced vision, the movement speed boost, and so on are things that give a lot more benefit to a shotgun than to a Sniper Rifle.

Don't get me wrong, I think that the Geth Infiltrator Sniper build is perfectly viable, particularly with the Javelin to punch through as much intervening crap as possible, but I think that the Salarian Infiltrator still beats the GI at sniping, while the GI has the edge in running with a shotgun.

Yeah, but with the sniper buff from TC plus all the geth wep/ reg wep buffs these guys get I figured the javelin would be doing unreal damage with him. I also figured the movement bonus/vis range was for the sniper. Range is self explanitory and I saw the speed up as geared toward running the 4 pick up missions as an inf. on gold. Those rifles get pretty heavy, after all.
