Anyone else having this issue?

Click "buy now" on the Resurgence DLC and it gives a "General error" asking to try again later?

I went thru customer service and they had me reinstall origins. Do a 'clean' boot of Windows. Amoungst other small things, which none worked.

Ultimately another rep (after having to reboot for Clean boot) told me this is a current issue and we can only wait.

Anyone waited and have this work?  Don't see any posts showing this "General Error"  so I was curious if anyone had and maybe had found the fix?

What exactly does it say? There are posts over here saying that the DLC doesn't install/download properly.

no no. I click buy and the Origin window pops to a near blank white slate with a bold header and red words

I'm experiencing the same thing as darkforgd. I'm in the US, and EA support had me reinstall Origin, I've even deleted and reinstalled Mass Effect 3. Other then that I've been told to try again later by another support rep.

So , just to rule out that it is, in fact, not OUR PC's fault. I got on my friends laptop who DID maange to DL the DLC...and connected on his Origins. Still the same general error. Sorry, still looking for resolution. Supposedly my ticket has been escalated outside of general support, but I've had no contact sense this claim. Let you know more when I find out more.

Well, it dawned on me to check one other thing as after some investigating and contacting an EA adivsor; he and I got Resurgance to download. This may or may not be your solution; but any info or solutions could help.

After all the uninstall/ reinstall Origins and Mass Effect 3 plus a clean Windows boot "support" I randomly logged into my EA account at EA.com ( as anywhere else doesnt let you look at your profile.) and being a PC user should only have one Persona/ Master EA ID. Anyway I saw my master ID and then a secondary one that was just a combination of numbers and letters I had never seen before..

So contacting EA Support, and running through the whats the problem speech, i mentioned if having multple persona's could be the problem and he looked into it; after 5 or 10 minutes he asked me to try it again and IT WORKED !!!.

Logging back into the EA account on their website and found that the secondary persona was gone. so that solved my problem; hopefully it might work for anyone else with the problem.

7Liles - where did you see the 2 EA IDs? Just near your username on the right hand side or somewhere else?

You know, I'm pretty sure I saw some random number ID on my EA site too! I'll try to verify this solution. Sojourner77, try to log into EA's forums. When you do it should let you pick your persona

I don't have the random identity problem, just the master id and my battlefield screenname.

Worth mentioning at least?
I'm still awaiting a rep that will actually look into that for me. Looking like a Forum rep is probably going to be the one b/c the Live reps aren't able to pull up my Case. Thus we're trying other things.
Last Live rep had me delete the "offline cache" via gear->settings->Game folder installer and restart Origin.
No fix there.

So talked to a Live rep and a Forum rep on EA and both are claiming the possibility of another account linked to my origin email isn't the issue -or- that i don't have one. They didn't make that clear upon request. They also had me try "settings - delete all game installers" restart origin and "reload my games" but nothing seemed to happen.
The live rep told me that she (?) could not think of any other things to attempt and in ' a few days ' they would receive the files necessary to manually add the Add-on to my account, BUT this probably means I'll miss out on the new "operation" and the bonus pack included. Blah. I'll keep searching and let you know what I find.

Update. Got a hold of another rep Via the phone. He -thought- the issue was that my ID was not Authenticated correctly. Sadly this did not fix the issue. He is going to look into this and give a call back tomorrow. Sadly they cant even force the DLC onto my account b/c they've not received codes to allow them to do this. See above post for QQing lol. I'll update again when more info arrives.

Sojourner77 - When you log into your account on ea.com and click on your username; you should get an overview of your account. Obviously your name, email and anything linked to it via xbox,ps3 or wii. Near the bottom it should say Other Identiities which ( in my case only has my Master EA ID which is the one I use here and on Origin. I only have the Mass Trilogy). It was here that i saw the secondary ID.

Not that you can request an EA Rep, but the guy who fixed my problem was Saurabh. Unfortunately when I asked what he had done to get it to work; he simply stated "I changed some things" After that When I logged in at EA.com the secondary ID was gone. Hence my conclusion that was the problem.

Having the same problem. The rep told me to right click on the game in steam and click the "Repair Install" button. The first time, it game up with an error message (not the same as the multilingual one after the "buy now" button). I had to restart Origin and try it again. It "repaired" the game for about 10 minutes but didn't fix the issue.

Another thing that came to mind that i checked today; yesterday I was on here logged in and attempted to buy Bioware Points and got that weird " It appears as you have more than one accounts for this currency. Remove one and try again." After the fix that the EA rep did that allowed me to download the map pack; I logged in today to post here and randomly just checked if I could buy points and it sent me to a page where i could choose to buy from 400 - 1600 points. Further research about the weird message that others have found were that it created 2 "wallets" which I'm not positive about but have read that mentioning that to an EA rep and having them look into it as it apparently doesn't show up on there overview screen of you account has led to some success.

Just thought I'd try the tech support chat again. He ran me through the usual script and had me repair my game again. After he told me to wait for a patch, I asked him how long it would be. He said lots of people are having this problem and there should be a fix within the next couple days.

New method. It didn't work for me but the tech guy suggested it so it might work for someone else. Go to setting and then "Game Downloaders". Leave the file open and shut down Origin. Once Origin is down, find the file with your email and open it. Delete the "Offline Cache" file and then restart Origin.
It might work.

Still no fix for this as of yet, according to the EA rep I spoke with. My case priority was elevated, so hopefully I can give you guys something soon.

Tried all of this. Nothing. Rep was supposed to call me at 9am this morning, but no call. Figures. A few days of waiting could equal missing our resurgence packs for playing over the weekend. Awesome.

Sooo whatever the Phone rep that 'authorized' my account did...stripped my ME3 of its "online pass" and I now cannot access my From Ashes dlc or multilayer at all. Game is now completely broken. YES backward momentum.
