Good evening,
Yesterday i got home after returning from a trip, i logged into origin and launched ME3, before i could play it stated i needed to update the game... so far so good.
The problem is that it says the update is 10gb!, this is almost a whole new game!.
I think there should be a problem so, please tell me if this 10gb update is legit, or it is just other bug or problem and is downloading the whole game again, which is pure garbage as i have my game discs here with me.
If this is the case i could just kill the 10gb update and reinstall?
Thanks.
Mass Effect 3 10gb "Update"

Doesn't this happen with Steam a lot? If this is what I think it is, the amount is misleading. You're not downloading 10GB.

Nope, I DLed the same amount and was curious why. Perhaps Origin games can't just "patch" a game and you have to redownload the newest version of the full thing?

That's not the case. I installed the patch and it was a very small download.Hammer6767 wrote...

Had something similar yesterday.
I took a 15 minute break, game back and origin downloaded a 9,3 GB patch/update (or atleast it claimed it did).
After that, I could not join my friends' game, it said we did not have the same version, but when I hosted, he could join me..
Today everything was fine though.

I purchased the game through Amazon, and I got the 10 GB "patch;" Maybe Origin buyers got the smaller patches.

I think origin is just a poor product.

It's Electronic Arts forcing DRM down our throats. We either install it or we don't play their games legitimately.
