 did exactly what the card said to do:
1.  created an account online, and submitted the code at the redeem site
2.  started the disc and created an account with an identical address to #1
3.  went to the DLC menu, and nothing was downloading.  tried to enter the code there (with and without hyphens), and was told the code is invalid.  

why is this so much more difficult than the rest of the freebies?  any thoughts?  please help!

Actually it's the following:



1. Create Account Here at social.bioware.com

2. Register the Redeem Code at dragonage.bioware.com/redeem

3. Login with your account that you registered on this site (IN THE GAME), DO NOT create another account, as you already have one.

4. THEN go to downloadable content. Some downloadable content may take a while to get to. (Such as The Edge.)



You missed the point where social.bioware.com is also your EA account, etc. Don't register two accounts, makes it look like you're trying to cheat your way into two DLCs.

Did all that too, stiil the blood armor doesnt show up in game. Looks like a scam to me.

No scam. I have ps3 version and I have Blood Dragon Armor, along with the Lucky Ring and well heck all the DLC including what the three you get from Journeys.
