As mentioned, Dragon Age wasn't meant to be a trilogy. Unless DA3 bombs, there should be many more.
After playing Origins, I assumed that the series would be a trilogy because there are conveniently 2 remaining archdemons to slay out of the 7. Of course that wasn't the case, as neither of those two archdemons made an appearance in DA2, and aside from the prologue, DA2 had nothing to do with the blight. Bioware have since then fallen in love with mages and templars, for better or worse.
DA3 as the end to a trilogy.

Doubt it will be a trilogy, just too much to sum up in one game.
Personally I've seen it playing out like this DA3 is the mage v templar and orlesian civil war and the end leads into the start of the qunari invasion. DA4 is the qunari invasion and the war accidently causes the darkspawn to reach an ancient high dragon starting another blight. DA5 with the land weakend by the civil war and qunari invasion the blight evolves into a true on blight (not the one country type but spanning thedas type).
Also I think its dangerous to assume their are only 2 ancient high dragons that can become archdemons left. For all we know tevinatar could have burned the records of many lesser known ancient high dragons to protect them from the chantry, or there is the possibility that maybe not all ancient high dragons chose to converse with tevintar.

It seems like the Dragon Age series could be more like the Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim type thing:happy:
