That's the problem for me, they signify a lot, but actually don't do much. I'm counting on Flemeth's plot to be developed fully in the third game.

Personally given the franchise is not a trilogy, I feel no immediate desire to have some form of dragon related conclusion.

Plenty of time for that in Dragon Age VII or XIV.

I'M PRETTY SURE I REMEMBER "DRAGON AGE" BEING THE RESULT OF A RANDOM FANTASY NAME GENERATOR. THE DRAGON AGE TEAM HAS A LOT OF IN-JOKES. ANOTHER GOOD EXAMPLE IS THAT "THEDAS" WAS ORIGINALLY A PLACEHOLDER NAME FOR THE DRAGON AGE SETTING.

It's called Dragon Age because the name is supposed to tell you what type of game it is. From the title, it is clearly a fantasy game of a certain sort. This is presumably why it is actually called this.

Like how horror movies all have titles like 'The X' or 'The X in the Y'.

I'm sorry guys, but you don't put Dragon in your game series title just to have them as bosses in the latter part of the games. And even the dragonlings and the drakes only appear as enemies from time to time, not being that common when compared to how many abominations or darkspawn we have to fight.

Yes, you can argue that none of the Fantasy's are actually Final, but the first game in that series actually was meant to be the final one as Squaresoft was about to go into bankruptcy at the time. So yes, having a name with meaning is important. Especially when it involves dragons! xD

I'm sure there's quite a few people who bought either Dragon Age game because they thought it was a game about dragons, and not about mages and templars. I'm sure Bioware couldn't come up with anything better and thought that putting Dragon in the title would attract people who like fantasy rpgs. Similarly, many other rpgs have Tales of, Legend of, or Fantasy in the title.

As mentioned, if you want a rpg with plentiful dragons, try Skyrim. That game feels more Dragon Age than the Bioware releases.

Skyrim is on my backlog of games to play. However, from what I've read, it's big on dragons but not so much on plot, story and characters. At least not to the extent of this series, which I am so enraptured with at the moment (mostly due to DA:O which I felt a part of, DA2 disappointed me to a rather considerable extent). Hence, I want my Dragon Age to feature more and better thought of dragons. Seems like a fair and simple request, yes? Bioware, chop chop!
