I never played MP prior to this but I really enjoy it..still can't get through a gold match through extraction (UGH) and everyone seems to have better guns and characters than me but I do love to play.

MP is definitely worth it. I played the whole trilogy as soldier and now playing with different classes in mp, I see just how much I missed out + it's fun

Everyone thanks for teh feedback. I tried it yesterday and did not get off of it until 12am. I played over 4 hours wow it is addicting. I met some really fun people and some really good players, you can tell some have played quite a bit. I definately learned you are not as tough as shepherd so you have to be mobile fast on your feet and smart and work together. There were some peopel who were lone wolfs and would not even revive you, however, I have slowly built my infiltraitor male human almost to 20, I am going to paly othyer classes. I read in the game strategy guide you can send your mp character to the the sp as a war assest once level 20 is reached so I may do this to increase my assessts. I also noted my ems went from 2800 in sp to 4200, I see why Mp is so necessary, you cannot get the so called "good endings without it" and I use that term loosely. Anyways, I have on my second playthrough of Sp played until the cerberus base mission so I only have two big missions left and wanted to see how this all worked, my GR is 82% and I am gunning for 100 so hopefully I can reach it tonight. I have now found reason to stay confident in Bioware. I am still on Bronze but after another couple playthroughs, will move up to silver and give it a try. I am not even close to gold level on MP. Anyways, thanks for the feedback and again, are there any other tips or things I should know in MP does anyone import their level 20 characters?

MP is fun, for a while. Unfortunately it gets old real fast. The connectivity issues and bugs do not help either. There's only few maps, even fewer enemy factions and only one game mode. I can't get myself to play more than 2-3 games per day.

Agreed. After a while all there is to play for is unlocking things you don't have, and the crappy random unlock system makes that process utterly demoralizing. I've been playing multiplayer since launch and still haven't unlocked the Krogan Soldier. What hope do I have of unlocking any of these new characters if I don't even have all the old ones? I spend the credits I earn by playing and keep getting character cards for classes I've already maxed out.

The random unlock system is horrible for players, but great for EA because it'll frustrate some people so much that they'll start spending real money to get a better chance at unlocking "free" DLC characters and weapons. I'll stop playing long before that ever happens, but players like me aren't their priority--the system is designed to hook a different kind of player, and as long as those players keep throwing money at them they'll consider the system a success.

I've been trying to get the galactic readiness achievement. But seem stuck at 50%. I went on line to check it out and read that multiplayer is required for this one. Now I absolutley loath multiplayer, as it gets old really fast.

However, I also read that bioware was coming up single player ways to raise galactic readiness. Now I'm someone that loves to get all the achivements for games that I like, so I'm hoping there's some truth to this. Can anyone confirm if this is happening or not? Sorry, if this has already been brought up, I just spent a half hour searching and didn't see any mention on this.

Yes, in the Infiltrator and Datapad programs that run on devices using iOS can do this (as far as I know, there's no iPad emulator that works on PC).  The MP isn't that bad, its actually kinda fun, but repetitive.

Crud.  Oh well, multiplayer sounds like the better option there.  iOS stuff huh?  I was figureing they were going to do some DLC or something that I could play in campaign.  That's ok though, I'll bite the bullet like I did for uncharted.  I kind of remember bioware saying that multiplayer wasn't required of achievements; I had no clue something like an iPhone was going to be their work around.

oh well, no biggie.

I agree I favor this class more than the others, maybe sentinel next. However, being able to cloak and dagger is fun and also, I love headshots!Posted Image

It's true that it is a bit much of the same.

The new classes have helped for me. But I am still hoping for expanded game modes at some point.

I am an old man with stiffening fingers. I also have to play with settings for slow side to side movement lest I experience motion sickness. This is why I never play shooters, they literally make me sick.

I did play the demo multiplayer with family and found I died frequently and spent a lot of time as a spectator. It was boring and I never desired to play it again.

Well, we don't know what the future holds as far as other platforms or options.  And yes, they did specifically say that MP wasn't required to get the best endings...it wasn't the only thing in the PR that they said that was...in error.

Actually, I really enjoy playing as an engineer in multiplayer. You can throw the drone behind the enemy and if you ramp it up to the max level the drone will get you a lot of assists and kills.

A general tactic is to throw the drone behind the enemy and when they turn to shoot it, blast them with a sniper rifle. This works really well with the Cerberus guys with the shields. They will turn the shields toward the drone and expose their backs to you.

MP is pretty fun, and it's pretty easy if you stick to Bronze-level games. You'll get up to a high galactic readiness rating pretty quick. It's worth it just to get the better SP endings, but it can also be a fun time in and of itself.

MP is fun because the classes are quite diverse. I compare it to TF2. But the latter is a PvP-game with an entirely different feel. Coop-MP like this strongly appeals to my playing drive.

+1

It's fun idd for a while, but you get bored pretty bad (at least was what happen to me)!
The unloack system is "bad", and really "boring"
Also the multiplayer is missing a few things, like text chat, and a more cooperative "things" between the team!

I stop playing ME3 multiplayer a few week's ago, and don't think I will play it again tbh!

My experience with multiplayer has been an interesting one.

You will probably become one of several kinds of people.

You will see it as a different take on the Mass Effect experience. You will LOVE the idea of being able to play as a custom built character of another species and all it entails. The powers, the banter...
I'd say this is how MOST people start out with multiplayer and how a good number continue to play.

You could become a hoarder. After the "allure" of plaing as a Turian, Asari, or Krogan wears off, you will be in it soley for the credits. It's all about the Claymore you haven't unlocked yet. That armor option for your Drell. The Krogan soldier you haven't gotten in a MONTH of playing the game. You get angry when you get an Incisor VI instead of a Black Widow. Some players become this player. I am near this point myself, just playing for new weapons and the Resurgence characters.

You could become what I've dubbed an "N7 Elitist." In other words, you know MP inside and out. You play gold ALL the time and win all the time. But, if you so much as sniff a soldier or vanguard in your party for a new round, you kick them and await the engineer or infiltrator player because they are the only ones worthy of your time.

Or, you could become that person who goes on to raise their Readiness level and leaves as soon as it's 100%. You'll typically play bronze, b/c the level raises the same regardless. The credits bump to silver isn't worth the hassle, and you just want to get it over with. I also see myself as operating in this realm because so few players I've played with have mics or are true team players. Players who ignore objectives, never look to revive their teammates, and know NOTHING about the game and just assume it's a straight 3rd person shooter with no real nuances or game mechanics to it.

Anyway, it's definitely worth a go. You will definitely enjoy it for AT LEAST a little while and, if you find a good group, you might keep playing and genuinely enjoying it for a while.

EDIT: I want to add that the idea of co-op appeals to me more than PvP. You tend to get fewer ****holes that way. Fewer people who have to justify their existence with videogame prowess. However, there is that feeling of competition with the "in-game scoring." That gets to me sometimes, but not TOO much.
