when i relized they just Made TIM a copy of Saren. thats when my redflags went off.

when that elevetor crap happened and i saw that godchild, i honestly wanted to jump inside the game via the screen and kill him with my bare hands.. Thats when i got MAD cus it was BAD.

when i relized the mere illution of options given, the complete change of narrative, theme, characters, protagonist renedered meaningless, main villan changed, no explination of nothing. nothing that show the outcome of neither "choice". that when i almost cried, thats hob bad it is.

turn on off my xbox. came here to rant at bioware. and been here since.

Why not have the ending show you dying beside Anderson and the Reapers finishing what they came here to do. They could easily pick up with the next wave of species for Mass Effect 4 (Or whatever title they choose). With new challenges like a galaxy, for the most part, controlled by the Yagh. Or could we even accept that?

I'm going to say the moment I got to earth the 2nd time and really noticed nothing epic about it no grand speech's no epic cut scenes and then the lackluster star child everything from the moment you touch down just felt like a totally different game.

I was still caught up in BioWare's "artistic vision" at that point.  My thought at that moment was "I just Sarened the Illusive man".  Maybe should have been worried then.

no because your choices still didn't make any difference, plus I don't see the Yagh as having a good enough designe to be the "standart" specie of the galaxy

When I was presented with my only three options and had them "explained" to me. I decided that I hated the endings when the Catalyst started talking about synthetics and their unavoidable revolt against their creators. That was just plain stupid. I mean look up! there are geth ships fighting side by side with quarrians there! trying to bring you down!!!

It was a slow progress from "really?" through "Oh hells no" right to "You have retroactively destroyed this franchise, this is so bad it has ruined 2 other games as well as this one"

1. "The Crucible super-weapon has been in the the Prothean archives all along" - Really? Ok... I'll let that go for now.
2. "The Reapers have moved the Citadel to earth" - Um, what? Just like that, off camera?
3. "Run towards the conduit" - I'm a _Vanguard_ why am I running and risking being atomised?
4. "I control the Reapers... The Citadel is part of me" - WHAT? Did you _read_ the plot of ME1
5. "Destroy the Reapers and the Geth and EDI lol" - F*** you
6. "Synthesis" - You know you use "synthesis" to make a "synthetic" right... right? It means "combine 2 things" a synthetic is something that has been created by combination.
7. "..." - So, no opportunity to question anything.
8. "..." - So I have to pick one of the options generously provided by my mass murdering master Where is my paragon/renegade Interupt?
9. "*Boom*" Oh great no mass relays, its only the iconic technology of the setting, no biggie :(
10 "*Normandy crash*" - What the F*** was that? Why was Joker in FTL, how did they survive an engine blowout in FTL? Why did the engine blow? Where are they? Why are my London squadmates on board?
11 "..." I must have messed that up, lets try that again....WHAT? It's the F****** same!

I am _still_ angry, furious, at this.

At first I didn't like the ending as there was no music in London. Then I didn't liked it because everyone was saying good bye and it felt so sad. I thought I gathered the whole galaxy to win against reapers and now no one seems to think that we will win.
As Harbinger came down and burned my armor I started to really dislike the ending. This wasn't supposed to happen. My marvelous white armor burned down, no way! And after that scene I hated everything. Nothing made sense to me anymore.

Edit: I forgot to say: Don't dare to touch my lovely Samantha Traynor, or I kill you Joker I am a Reaper now!

TIM and Anderson scene was actually decent... But even so i'd still want to remove everything that happened after Harbingers beam. Firstly there is no way Shepard could survive that. Those beams can take out space craft... Infantry soldiers it's overkill against...

Mostly though everything after the beam made no sense to the story. The scene with anderson and TIM while it was interesting just felt out of synch with the rest of the game. Also it felt like a forced re-run of the Saren talk... Finally when you actually reach the starchild... that thing has 14 lines that completely destroy all established plot and character development. Well done...

As soon as the Space Child appeared I went "well, this is silly" but . . . to be honest characters are the strength of Bioware's writing, not plots, so I wasn't that let-down. When I started to get annoyed was when I discovered that I had no dialogue options to bargain with him.

I didn't get really angry until I found out that all three endings are functionally identical.

It started with Casper Star Ghost boy....
I watched the conversation unfold with really no control.
Decided on destroy, started walking forward and than Shepard auto sprints and jumps into a pool of acid. (For all she knows, that"s what it was.)

This conversation went through my head than,
Casper (on mass transmit Reaper Radio) ; Hey Harby....you're such a noob.
Harbinger: Why you says 'dat boss?
Casper: You all let Shep kick your butt, killed a few other of you peeps and completely pwned
Soverign....when all ya had to do was offer the dumb ass three really bad choices. The dimwit jumped into Husk juice hardly questioning me at all, heh. Begin Reaping my Reaper Pals.

Regardless of what they show in the game, Shep makes these decisions with no idea whats going to happen after she dies.

I reloaded the auto save and chose destroy......She starts firing at the tube...
Me: Quit walking into the explosion!!! no!!! just stop!!!!

When finding out they are all the same before playing a second time.

Playing a second time allowed me to spot the clues as to what was going on with the ending, but there was still another problem:

Playing a second time showed, to me, a precise point when all player effort no longer applies. (The bik files also reflect this as well as suggesting that they intended to have multiple events depending on player success.) That solidified my dislike for the ending.

Right after Starbrat explained the available options, he forgot one option,
Starbrat: you can also cross those wires to short circuit me, but that will leave the Reapers out of control.
Shepard: Good, a real fight!

I knew things were going wrong when I got to Hammer Base and noticed the lack of content on Earth.

Things went really weird when Shepard was hit by Harbinger, I honestly thought it was some sort of dream at that point. The lack of a suicide mission-esque scenario made the warning bells being to toll.

I realized it wasn't a dream when I watched the quality of the cinematics and listened to the music, but things REALLY went down the ****ter when the Catalyst walked on to the scene. Nothing it says should be believed.

Is everything great throughout? No.

I find everything acceptable until Shep goes up the lightevator.

At that moment it all disintegrates.

When Shepard shot Anderson yet the latter wasn't hurt but the former was... I figured... BioWare wth?

Then when the star child entered the picture I started to cringe a bit, facepalming while he held his little logic talk, then facedesked when I saw the final cutscene.

All in all when the starchild came into play, I realized I was witnessing one of the most ridiculous, badly written endings in human history.

I was too shocked to immediately realize the amount of BS this ending entailed. I started out thinking it was "okay", then I went to the forums, and now I think it is the biggest piece of garbage ever made.

It was a process. The longer I looked the worse it got. So there is no single moment for me.

the rest of the game was great but the ending ....

When  I was watching the credits.

Took me a while because I was wanting to believe the ending would be good. Then I was sitting through the credits and felt really sad/let down. And realized it was because the ending just... was not good.

It started on Mars when they introduced the idea of the Catalyst. As soon as I heard that, my first thought was "Uh oh this can't end well...but maybe". The rest of the game quickly made me forget that thought until Thessia. When the VI on Thessia started talking another "Uh oh" thought started creeping in. I pushed it back the game had been so good even if the fight with Kai on Thessia was pretty stupid.

Priority earth came around and everything was pretty good until Harby's beam hit. That's when the creeping feeling of dread really started to sink in. The Shep/Anderson conversation was great but as soon as that elevator came down well....

From that point on it all you could hear in my apartment was an ever growing volume of "What the ****. No seriously What the ****!?!?"

I started to be annoyed when the hologram said that synthetics and organics couldn't coexist, even though I had united the Quarians and the Geth, and Shepard just stood there and didn't contradict him.

It completely fell apart when I was given three crap options and I couldn't do anything about it. I've had to face bad choices in the past, but every time with enough preparation I could find a better solution. This time I was asked to agree to options that made no sense. I would have chosen destroy if not for the fact that it killed the Geth and EDI. I wasn't sure what control meant, how do I die but still control the Reapers? Is it a one time command or do I become the mind behind them? I finally chose Synthesis because I figured that was the 'best' ending according to the writers. Nothing after that made sense.

It really grated on me when, after sitting through the credits, I got slapped with a prompt to buy DLC before I could process everything.
