At what point did you decide you did not like the ending?

Same for me, it starts to get a bit odd after being hit by Harby's beam (I think we mean the same part?).

After that it made me fill up with questions. Then I fully knew I didn't like the ending when the Catalyst started 'explaining' stuff.

When the kid started explaining my options to me...I was just like what the hell...why am listening to you and why the heck am I forced sacrifice myself.

It was only cemented when I watched someone else who was also playing the game in my house finish 20 minutes after I did and I went into watch what their ending was...it was the same as mine except it was green. Image IPB

Despite trying to avoid spoilers before the game came out I'd heard enough rumours to get me really, really concerned, so I ended up spoiling myself. It was probably about 10 minutes after that that I really started to feel angry and upset about it, once the implications started to hit. It was mostly for the depressing rather than the illogical aspect of it (I'd skimmed through the video and missed Starbrat and the three choices entirely).

When I eventually stomached playing the game I thought it was OK (and in some parts downright good) right until Starbrat appeared, even though I enjoyed the London mission about as much as I enjoy the place in reality. London would've been better if it took a well-known part of it, fighting down the Thames, along the Embankment, for example.

When the starchild started talking or more precisely, when i was presented with my dialog options.
At that point the toon on the screen was no longer my shepard.

i didnt have a huge problem with the ending, but it did bother me after i thought about it more... when i decided it was like having sex, then going limp right before you finish.

When I realized that the ending was intended to destroy the universe, leaving everything and everyone I cared about at least utterly screwed, making all of my choices irrelevant, and leaving the Normandy's crew caught in a luddite's dream. Despicable..

Whoever is responsible for these endings has an unparalleled talent for emotional cruelty. That's something I won't soon forget. Or forgive.

The point that Hackett tells you it's not working was the point where a great game really went bad. There were questionable things before that, but none that we couldn't live with. When you pass out and take a ride up on the Casper elevator the game plummets down to the depths of ****.

After I realized that that's all there was and that the Starchild made no sense. Throughout the whole time the Starchild was talking, I kept hoping for some explanation. But as soon as I realized I have to walk across and choose a path, I yelled "WTF DEUS EX" and destroyed the Reapers.

And I can't play SP ever since. I tried but I can't.

Right at the point that the elevator showed up to take me up to the StarKid.

Before that, I thought the game was going to end with Anderson and Shepard bleeding out and I was fine with that. When the elevator showed up, the sense of loss and sacrifice and fulfillment left me and I was replaced with confusion. Which after the ending played out, was replaced with anger.

I will trust you, holographic representation of the thing that controls those giant sentient ships harvesting us that we've been trying to kill, and are trying to appeal to my guilt by turning into that little kid I saw die! What is more, I will not even attempt to argue your logic, even though my experience has taught me that there is always a chance for peace! I'm off to die committing genocide now because I don't have enough Turian ships dogfighting in the distance. Oh, well!"

I started to dislike it the moment Harbringer beam hits you, and you know nothing about your squadmakes when you come to. As further events unfolded, I just kept thinking "What happened to Garrus and Ash?" Then the whole conversation with Illusive Man started, and it made me wonder why are we doing Saren again. Then Anderson died, and I figured it's the point where it gets worse before it gets better. Then it never got better. It was largely unsatisfying for that whole part. Took me a while to start realising all the various reasons why it was so unsatisfying, initially I actually suspected it's just the utter defeat we suffer at the hands of the God child and his hapless minions.

When I saw the crashed Normany on the jungle planet and my squadmates who I thought had died on Earth got out. Just didn't make sense at all. I can deal with the silliness of the Catalyst stuff if they had only made an ending with no plot holes where the sequence of events was non-contradictory.

The magic elevator. I thought she died and was going to heaven. And then, I was SURE she was dead when Starkid appeared.  Too bad she was still alive...

When he said "I am the Catalyst," I officially hated the ending. What a stupid cliche plot device.

The day after finishing the game. I was too tired when I finished it so I went to bed feeling slightly content. Then I woke up and started thinking about it on my way to work and I was content no longer.
Kind of a slowpoke, but well... Mind you, I would've liked it had it given me with more information about whatever happened. But nope. I'll have to wait till summer for that.

The moving of the citadel raised alarm bells, but it wasn't until the elevator of light that I was totally and utterly confused. I felt the feeling of disappointment as the kid spoke. I sort of felt knocked out on my feet, as I had been so engrossed in the game for the majority of the previous day, so having something so jarringly out of place, non sensical and inappropriate turning up the end was a bit like being punched by Ali.

I didn't hate the ending as much as I felt like the game slowly unraveled.

The first part is nice despite the autodialog. What I didn't like in the first part are the kids and the dreams, the overall Surkesh/Tuchanka felt nice and I didn't mind the way the citadel was built (the taxicab to save loadtimes is a godsend to compare to the two loading docking area in ME1)

I really started to not like the game's story when Cerberus attacked the Citadel, the Quarian pa(rt was hit and miss. The Geth Dreadnought mission seemed like a neat idea that had not been developed, and I really didn't like the bossfight against the reaper (duck duck duck fire, rinse repeat). The last two missions left me ambivalent as I liked sanctuary's mood while Thessia didn't make sense.

Then I fought Kai Leng for the last time, realized it was a wave based boss fight and actually laughed at my TV. To me it's the start of the "ending".

the worse part in the ending were the dialog with the starchild and to have to make a choice between three bad and (as far as I'm concerned) not linked to the rest of the games "solutions". I remember staring at the screen for a couple of minutes wondering why would I choose either solutions and finally opted to Destroy for the sole reason that I wanted to see the full cinematic + breathing.
