If new squadmate DLC is ever an option, I would love Jack to be the first one...

It would work the same way Chakwas giving up the medbay to Mordin and Eve worked. Just use those times to move her around the ship to interact with other NPCs. Would love a scene with Jack hanging out with Joker and EDI or Garrus.
That's true. I didn't think of that.

Kind of. Other characters (Javik, Ken and Gabby) can be seen down there from time to time. I'm not sure how that would work, especially if you walk down there pre-Earth mission and saw Jack watching Ken and Gabby macking it.

^This. The Normandy is incredibly lifeless and boring this time around... I can totally see Jack drinking with Garrus or teasing Joker all the time.

If the DLC allowed me the option of killing off the annoying b**** then I might be onboard with it. Greet me with a slap after I save your and all your students' keisters? No renegade interrupt? Should have let you die on the Collector Base.
And that's exactly why we love her. She's strong, independent, capable of handling herself and backing up her speech anytime. A multilayered character who doesn't fold like a deck of cards.
Greeting you with a slap? Aww, what's the matter, too much of a woman for you? Yes, she greets you with a slap because she cares for you and knows your friendship is deeper than that. She does it cause she's Jack, not cause she's ungrateful. If you actually gave her character a chance besides turning away right when she called you a ****, you'd realize a fist to the face is actually a hug. She doesn't show her soft side because she hates feeling vulnerable.

I think it's a good idea and would personally love it. The problem is though is many people don't have Jack and/or got her killed in #2. If you play a default game, Jack isn't even in the game at all. Bioware will never make a DLC that only certain people could enjoy.
Yeah, I agree... And though I know it probably won't happen, I think it's worth at least a try. If they're planning on making dlc's for additional squad mates, I'll make sure she's on top of their list. Thanks for reminding me, though.
I'm not holding my breath.

I never really used her in ME2, but she was an interesting interesting character. More squad mates are always welcome, so I say, why not?
same with me but I think that's more down to the fact you do have a lot of squadmates to pick from in ME2 than in the other games I like her as a character but not suer I'd ever romance her though

This will never happen, because all the people who ended up killing her wouldn't be able to use the DLC. That's why there are stand-ins for practically every character in ME3, just in case they were killed previously.
Seriously. I love Jack. I think she's awesome. This will NEVER happen.

The Normandy is "lifeless" and "boring"?
Wut.

Cthulhu42 is sadly right, though. Plus, she can die in ME3 if you don't make it to Grissom Academy in time.

Jack is the most easily killed squadmember in ME2.

No she isn't. She always the first squadmember to die if you never upgraded the Normandy's armor, but as long as you do so, her death is easily preventable. Thane is the most easily killed squadmember because there are two instances during the suicide mission where his death takes priority over everyone else. Even Tali's death takes priority over Jack's during the "Hold the Line" sequence at the end of the suicide mission and she's a full time squadmember.
As for the whole "she's dead in the default game" thing, I can easily see that downloading a Jack squadmate DLC will "retcon" her status to having survived the second game. Remember that Wrex died on Virmire in a default Mass Effect 2 game if Mass Effect: Genesis wasn't installed.

ME3 Jack is like a much improved version of the original. I'd love her as squadmate.

Of course he is right. But we have to ask for a delicious chocolate cake, maybe we will get a small piece in the extended cut.

not going to happen, as all ME2 squad-mates and ME1 squad-mates (with the exception of Liara), have the potential to be dead in ME3, therefore they would not release a DLC that would require said squadmate to be alive.
So do Tali and Garrus, and they're still squad mates in ME3. I don't think that's a problem at all, I'm sure many people wouldn't mind replaying through Mass Effect 2 and leaving no one behind.
