Just finished the mission where you rescue the Quarian admiral. Back on the Normandy, spoke to Raan, Tali, Legion in the war room, then went to CIC and spoke to Traynor, then Joker and EDI. Then went to shuttle bay and spoke to Cortez and Vega. Purchased the eel and geth jamming tech from Eclipse. Then went to Engineering. Javik wasn't in his cabin, went to speak to the engineers, then went to Allers cabin. Allers said something about Eden Prime (autodialog) and I walked past into her 'bedroom'. Then the game froze. I wasn't pressing any buttons, just moving.

Now to spend another 15 minutes or so getting past the 'checking downloadable content' message!

Why would you even go to see Allers? I left her and her monotone voice job alone in there the entire time.
