Posté 11 avril 2012 - 03:00
Except for those i use most of the time or tried and failed....
M8-Avenger X
M3-Predator X
Katana X
M5-Phalanx III
I think i have a M-300 shotgun1/M98-Widow1 and Arc Pistol1...
And how do i know what is bronze/silver/gold? (not finished anything on silver so..).
Everything else is just poo, most of the stuff is between 1 or 3 i think i do have ALL character Customization things but i couldn't care much about those since i'm mostly focused on killing stuff and not look at my own ass..

I'm assuming you haven't spent hundreds of dollars buying extra points or exploiting game glitches to earn credits beyond your N7 rating. I'm also assuming you don't just promote for community events.
-I am currently N210.
-For me, not a single weapon. Closest is Avenger Assault Rifle at IX.
-Both Human Adepts have all appearance customizations unlocked.
-7 different weapon mods are maxed: AR stability, shotgun blade/barrel, SMG choke/mag/sink, sniper mag.
-Medigel and Special Ops capacities at 5.
And that's it.
What about you? What are you looking forward to fully upgrading?
I'm 290 and have avenger X, phalynx X, Mattock X, Geth Shotgun X, raptor X

I'm looking most forward to maxing Carnifex, since my Drell Adept with a Carnifex is my favorite MP character.
After that, the N7 shotgun I just got (forget the name) since my Krogan BM with a shotgun is my second favorite character.
I'd still take a Salarian Infiltrator over anything, since that is the character I've wanted to play most since launch, and still haven't got him.

Silver cards: Maxed appearance on drell adept, salarian engineer, quarrian infiltrator, and asari vanguard. SMG high caliber and sniper extended barrel. Only maxed gun is Evicerator.
Gold cards, I've maxed krogan sentinels and salarian infiltrators. that's it.
I always recommend to newbies to hammer recruit packs until you max out the starter weapons and mods, then go to vet packs mostly for the mods and classes. Mix in spectre packs for the classes and weapons once you have stuff like sniper barrel V and AP mods

Anyway I'm at like, 35 and have no weapons higher than II. About 2/3 the characters, though. Spent like $30 on premium spectre packs.

really care about inflating there to get different endings as I enjoy the
game just fine). So... N7 180? Whatever you get with 2 promotions.
I do run lots of silver, some gold. Things seem very random. Long
strings of gear, then I seem to get chains of the same weapon. I also
really liked amassing lots of resets (I respec a lot, and have only
promoted twice).
Widow X
Hornet X
Kishok X
Geth SMG X
Geth Shotgun X
Claymore X
Disciple X
Carnifex X
Lots of weapons, I dont' even have, or just have at low levels.
Tons of character cards of course, and even with frequent character
resets (no promotions), I still have over 35 character reset cards.
I'll probably have a fit if those run down and I actually have to promote
to experiment!

How do you know what's a bronze, silver or gold weapon? And what's an N7 weapon? Is that the same as having it at X, or some other ultrarare weapon altogether?

Possibly because we don't like promoting. N7 is for elitists, what matters is your character level.
All of my blue weapons are at X, all my silver weapons are above V.

Tactics matter a lot since ME is an action game. Even with not maxxed out weapons, it's still easy to get to 1st place of a map when playing with players that are maxxed.

When you begin, focus on unlocking silver items through veteran packs..
Forget that, spam recruit packs and max out your basic weapons/mods first.
Then move onto Veteran and do the same for the next level of weapons and mods.
The higher the weapon level, the lighter it is and with more ammo/damage as well.
Basic weapons at Mk10 out perform the higher tier weapons unless they're at Mk4 and above.
Not to mention they afford greater versatility while you're (depending on the RNG system) upgrading the higher tier weapons and mods.
Do Bronze until you've got three different classes to about levels 10-15, then move on to Silver.
Bronze is a lot faster to do as it's the easiest difficulty.
This goes for when promoting classes as well.
This way you won't need to spend a single real pound/dollar/euro unless you really want to, and you'll lessen the chance of getting "trash" in the higher packs.

I'm going to start buying veteran packs until I have all the uncommon mods at V. Don't care about weapons now that I have Widow V and Carnifex III. It will be nice to finally get that Salarian Engineer, too. And it's the truth, I'm ALWAYS short on medigel and special ops.
For the record, I listed the N7 rating because I have the feeling that MOST people promote now and then. And if you're only around 200 or 300 it's not an elitist thing... Sometimes you just want to start your favorite class at 1 again, because it's fun to level up and build experience.
I wanted something comparable to my own experience, not a bunch of guys who have maxed common/uncommon/rare, like I keep reading in the forums. But actually I'm glad those guys posted because I didn't know the strategy about maxing out commons and uncommons before going after rares. Thanks!
EDIT
Oh, and by the way, maxing out common and uncommon does not increase your chances of getting rare. You just get character cards once weapons and mods are maxed. HOWEVER buying cheaper packs is still a great strategy for reasons I listed above.

Here's the full list - or at least, those that I can remember:
WEAPONS (level x):
- Avenger
- Predator
- Katana
- Shuriken
CHARACTERS (all options):
- Human Male Infiltrator
- Human Male Engineer
- Human Female Vanguard
- Human Female Soldier
- Human Male Adept
- Human Female Adept
- Human Male Sentinel
- Turian Sentinel
For the record, my N7 Rating is 150 - promoted two classes during Operation: Raptor, and all my classes are currently between rank 15 and 19.
