Ok, so what's wrong here. I have the GI with Jav and spec'd for max damage. It usually takes 3 or sometimes 4 headshots to clear a prime?

What gives. Is it that my Jav is only I and not X?

Javelin's scope makes it hard to tell if you actually headshot-ed that Prime.

Not really. I'm getting 95% gibs on my headshots. That's very satisfying on primes.

ammo mods? rail amp? 2 shot on primes requires warp/AP ammo mods and SR rail amps

I love GI with a GPS. The rate of fire increase makes it even easier to kill things cloaked or not. I usually go with the ammo mod and damage mod, Even armored targets go down pretty quick if you get in a charged GPS cloaked shot then a second cloaked shot. I like the Javelin, but I feel like the ammo is just too low on the level I version, maybe I'll use it when it's V-X

No love for proxy mine? Your dps is 20% lower than it could be if you took proxy mine to 5. Granted you lose some shields, but that doesn't really matter because you get shield gate as well.

Agreed!  And not just 20% more damage to you, but to your entire team!  It's amazing when focus firing the harder targets.

Personally, I like taking it all the way to Rank 6 for the +50% damage.  For my infilmelee build I use the mines a LOT, and once I figured out the mines get the damage bonus from cloak, it was well worth it.

Still, I'm a little crazy.  My build completely ignores Networked AI and maxes everything else out, including the 30m wallhack upgrade for Hunter Mode.
Did I mention I just run around with a Phalanx X pistol w/ melee and armor piercing mod?

Essentially I'm a robot ninja commando mad bomber.  He's the ultimate CQC beast, easily up there with the best Krogans and Batarians.

Totally OPed on Silver, and very fun and viable on Gold as long as you play it smart.
Just don't get caught out in the open!  Be the explody robo-ninja assassin ninja you were meant to be!

Side Note:  I think Chuck Norris is really a Geth Infiltrator specced into melee.

Hmm, I'll have to try that sometime, though I seemed to fail at putting proxy mines where I wanted them to go in the past. The Geth CC drains your shields, so I only use it when I'm cloaked and there's a single enemy around, and if I don't feel like blasting him in the face with my shotgun.

The Geth Heavy Melee drains your shields a little, yes, but it also is an AOE attack that has a wider radius than the Human Vanguard Nova.  :)
As long as you melt everything in the room, what's going to shoot at you?  Just make sure you aren't in line of sight to anything further away! (x-ray vision helps)

As for prox mines, I had the same problem with placement!  It does take some practice, but I found that the 3m radius upgrade vastly helps.  It seems to upgrade the proximity zone that enemies have to step into in order to set off the mine.
Otherwise, just get good at tossing it in the path of enemies or in the middle of groups.
It also works if you toss it against light cover.... it'll go off and damage/kill anything on the other side.

They also go off if fired directly at an opponent, but the accuracy isn't spot on.  I mostly use that method against bigger targets like Atluses and Brutes.

I actually don't usually Melee out of cloak if it's a lone guy, especially a low-level grunt with just health.
Fully lvled Prox mine from cloak will usually 1-shot them, and then I can sneak up on his group of buddies and melt their faces all at once.

One of the reasons I run a Phalanx is because you need the 200% cooldown a lot more than other Infiltrators.
Unlike the snipers and GPS fans, you spend a lot more time in cloak repositioning yourself or avoiding enemies, so it really hurts if your cloak cooldown is long after that.

I have been wanting another power as a Geth Infiltrator.  Sure, it's fun shooting everything, but it would be nice to have another way of doing damage.  I'll respec sometime and give this a try.  Thanks!

It dominates on Silver. My Geth Infiltrator with Javelin tops the board on Silver

On Gold however, it is hindered by shield gating. Most of the raw damage the Javelin can do goes to waste as I can only take down the shields. I can only get 2nd on Gold (not that score really matters but I know I am far less effective on Gold than on SIlver)

Javelin NEEDS to bypass shield-gating.

Update: I can now take down a Brute in Gold in 1 shot!
Geth Infiltrator
Javelin 6, with Armour piercing mod , extended barrel mod, Incendiary rounds, Targeting VI III, Sniper Rifle Rail Amp.

Shoot the brute on the head, easiest when he stands up and roars, and you shoot him in the mouth.

Aim your crosshairs just to the right of your target before firing proxy mine - it's left justified so this will make it hit everytime (keep in mind it has a travel time, so you might need to lead the target).

It's subpar to both Warp ammo and AP ammo, unless you're trying to set up fire explosions (on a class that can) - but those aren't really worth trying to do.

But you can either choose Targetting VI --OR-- Rail amp only isn't it? :x
