I'm studying for a marketing exam right now, and just reading over the sections on unethical marketing, I can see Bioware/EA fitting some of the definitions/examples pretty neatly. It's not just Mass Effect 3 either. Dragon Age 2 was another example, where what was advertised isn't exactly the way it's described in the actual game. Now, I don't consider it as bad as it seems, though I do hope the company cleans up a little.

I do not say that "maybe" is an absolute, I do not claim that it "cancels" anything out. I simply tried to answer the question that was posed to me to the best of my abilities.
