So, because the BBB warns people to be careful on Craigslist, it's the most amazing thing ever? Seriously?

Here's one from a religious guy about how to be careful on Craigslist:
http://discipleshipg...-on-craigslist/ - does that mean Jesus is against Craigslist?

No, I'm saying BBB has a decent reputation amongst consumers. They are not as terrible as you make them sound.

You're really trying to discredit BBB. You're trying too hard.

You should look at the bigger picture. Now that BBB did post this blog, the news outlets are going to pick it up and spread the word. Like these sites so far:

http://www.gamespot....ays-bbb-6371157

http://www.oxm.co.uk...ms-us-watchdog/

This is from the article:

The issue at stake here is, did Bio Ware falsely advertise? Technically, yes, they did. In the first bullet point, where it states “the decisions you make completely shape your experience”, there is no indecision in that statement. It is an absolute.

Well, offense taken. EA getting an A is an exception, regardless of how we feel about them on the internet, they have are a multinational company and perhaps - a supposition on my part, not to be taken with any grain of fact, to be used as any sort of evidence - the BBB simply butters up those types of companies more than they do the smaller companies.

Regardless: Blizzard has 20x the number of complaints that BioWare does, and has an A+ rating to BioWare's F. If you can come up with a logical explanation to that disparity, other than "Blizzard pays and BioWare doesn't" because I've already come up with that one, I'd love to hear it. Even if it is purely conjecture.

Keeping accredited businesses up to date most likely takes priority over unaccredited ones.

Funny how Retake members claimed the guy who reported Bioware to the BBB and FTC was an idiot but yet now all the old members of Retake are in threads like these defending the case thinking Bioware is at fault. Hypocrites I say. "They lied!!" "we were promised!!" they didn't agree! lol

Hey, you guys should set up a donation for therapy for all anti-enders to get group hugs and stuff. That will send a positive message for everyone.. I promise you

I'm sorry, none of those are true statements. You see how easy it is to be biased, even when someone is paying you no dollars?

As far as you are willing to admit, but that is how you are.

No, that's how you, in a biased opinion, perceive me. It is not a point of fact, nor is it true. Again, just pointing out that paying nothing does not necessarily mean that you'll have true things told about you.

To my knowledge, for instance, I have not gotten anyone banned. And if I have, well, if I report someone, I put in a direct quote of the statement they made that I'm reporting. So...

I didn't have to try hard at all.

Question: if BioWare had paid the BBB, and this one person who has a blog at the BBB said "Did BioWare lie? Not at all." Would you still be here defending the BBB as vehemently as you are with that blogger's statement reflecting your point of view?

Hmm.

I say "maybe" when trying to answer a question I don't have direct knowledge of, you accuse me of being a paid PR plant.

I back up my assertions with evidence when I can to show that there is proof to what I claim, you refuse to look at it.

...

Seriously, what the HELL do you want from me?

I like BBB. What can I say. I've had good experiences with them in the past.

You're just upset the BBB sided with the customer and now you want to discredit them.

Congratulations for having good experiences with the BBB. I have never had anything but problems with them. People I know have had nothing but problems with them. I've seen news report after news report about people having problems with them.

If the BBB had sided with my opinion, I would be sitting here saying "Seriously, the BBB is a pay for play operation. Their opinion means exactly jack squat."

Just like I am now.

Hopefully this thread will go better, and wont be so easily de-railed.

I'm glad to see the BBB actually say something on this, when people first reported Bioware I just rolled my eyes and didn't expect to go anywhere. It's a delightful surprise to see that we got a response. If only they would make it a bit more official and put it in the Advertising section of Bioware's page on their site instead of in a separate article.

I could file a report on Walmart with the BBB about how their bathrooms are dirty because they didn't empty the trash cans, or how they don't enforce a dresscode. and It would still be recieved by the BBB.

Better Buisness means nothing nowadays. Take a look at Kirby companies. They will recruit you under false pretenses, work you for 2 weeks and come payday they'll say you don't have a check coming because you didn't make a sale(even if you were hired under the pretense that no sales are required to get paid). Kirby is still a thriving business that has one of the highest turnover rates outside of the fastfood industry.

Aren't you just smart enough to understand that one can thinks Bioware lied but that opening a lawsuit for that is a bit too much? The rumors about people in the USA making lawsuits for all and nothing would be true if everyone should open a lawsuit each time they are lied. And I sincerely hope they're not.

litigation is common in most countries, i am quite conivinced  (after a bit of researcH) that this lawsuit can make it to court in australia, however i am no convinced it will win outright

There were a lot of decisions I made through ME1 and ME2 that shaped my experience in ME3. Returning characters, extra dialogue and, depending on your decisions, increased or decreased war assets.

It may be straining the point in your eyes but it can't be denied it is there.

its kinda funny how people argue about the meening of what bbb might have said or didnt say.
and about how they rate companies or dont rate them.

I really dont care if they acknowledge what has transpired or not.
becouse it does not change what has happened, i really dont need a second opinion to validate truth.

and it does not change the fact that bioware said the game would have content id did not have.

neither does it change the fact that they ran out of time
and made bad choices in development becouse of this.
(cutting content, reduring content quality, skipping regular deleopment procedure, etc)

so im skipping this thread honestly, it has no bearing on the brainfart called mass effect ending.

Ultimately it would only shift gaming previews and marketing from lies to deception, I think it's probably better that companies can go on lying freely than are forced to spend time crafting their lies in such a fashion as there is the least ambiguity involved.
