What was the issue with the import? (honestly asking, wasn't aware there was any?)

I don't remember having any issue importing my save to get my custom Shepard from ME2 (which comes from ME1).

Same here i'm on pc

With the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Mass Effect 2, the facial system was not capturing the face code. If you did not edit your character's features (rebuild face) in Mass Effect 2, there was no face code generated. When you tried to import into Mass Effect 3, the process would fail. I thought I didn't have any problems either until I figured out I had edited my character in Mass Effect 2. My other non-edited characters all failed facial import.

What BioWare needs to create is an official program that allows us all to customize / re-configure the parameters of our Shepard's facial appearance, at any time, for all three games, without having to start a new game completely. Just import a saved game from ME1, ME2 or ME3, re-edit the appearance, then save and re-write that saved game, replace it in the save folder, load the game and voila, done.

That's called a save editor.

Google is your friend.

You mean Okogawa's save editor?

If yes, then we cannot change the facial appearance with it, only Hair Style and general Colors. What I'm referring to is being able to change facial appearance (with the sliders). Also, with something "official" we wouldn't have to manually type some codes (Gibbed haircodes) or try to find our way within some parameters just to replace our hair style. If we can change the appearance with that save editor then please let me know how (I really don't think we can, I used it once, but I admit it's been months).

They had the equivalent of that in Dragon Age 2 with the mirror in that hall of oddities type place, you just had to look into the mirror and would be presented with a full facial editor like at the start of the game. Was honestly expecting ME3 to have the same type of thing...

I'm laughing my ass off over these malesheps.

When I do my "worst possible playthrough" of the trilogy, I think I'll have to use a hideously offensive Sheploo.

541.LGA.TFF.A2D.AEW.W1T.TTI.1JG.G7A.1G5.153.5 (Male, Vanguard, Paragon, Spacer/War Hero)
That's the face code for my custom Shepard, it's very close to my actual appearance and I'm very pleased with it, if I may say so myself.

541.DID.LTF.A86.7AV.J3D.WD5.5PG.G73.AG5.163.5 (Male, Infiltrator, Renegade, unsure about the other things)
That's the face code for my friend, and it looks a lot like him too, and I like how that turned out as well.
