I can actually stand the Hunter Mode, barely. The issue for me is it's the same color as objective markers, making them really hard to spot.

The downsides should be mechanical, like the 50% shield reduction you take when Hunter Mode is active.  It's fair, means you can take essentially no hits or else you're down.  For instance, Banshees will one shot you with their Warp Fireball unless you Ops.

The downside should not be the game physically assaulting you.

Gotta agree. Just got the Geth and it made me motion-sick. Just removing the blur should be fine, I actually like the Predator-style HUD.

Prolonged exposure starts to give me a major headache. It would be nice if they toned it down a little at least.

Fair enough.  I'll accept that.  But really, only the very sides of the screen seem blurred at all.  The rest, just seems to be high contrast, with some blue lines going across the screen.  It's not that bad.

I played my Geth Engineer for hours last night, with zero problems.  Didn't bother my eyes, wasn't very blurry.  All it seemed to do was brighten the screen a bit, and add some doodads and thingamaboppers on the screen.

It works differently for everyone. A friend of mine hardly notices the effects whereas I get a pretty serious headache relatively quickly. Still, I can get past that given enough time, but I know plenty of people who simply wouldn't be able to cope.

Personaly I dont have a problem with it. BUT since this many ppl alredy suffers negative effects from it I suport a change for it.

its annoying at first, but if you train yourself properly, you can notice everything regardless of the offensiveness to your peripheral vision. i barely notice it anymore when i turn it on or off. my only complaint is it raises the contrast and makes shooting into areas with bright lights (hydra hallway) somewhat difficult to aim properly in. theres also the masking objective markers, but i toggle it on and off a decent bit during a match (or sometimes not at all with engi)

I don't get affected at all, until the overlay starts FLASHING when I sprint. Is that supposed to happen, btw?

Count me in for HM needing to be turned down 30-40%-ish - the motion blur/distort effect, I mean. I enjoy the Predator-style hud, but it really is nausea-inducing after 2-3 rounds...

I agree that it needs to be fixed. Like what others have pointed out, toning down on the blurriness would be awesome. It's a shame because having the ability to see the enemies through walls becomes indispensable as you get used to the feature, but I find myself turning it on/off between waves just to stop my eyes from bleeding. σ_σ

Okay I actually like the IDEA of the overlay, I mean it sounds great when I think of it...but the camera vision "sparks", the brightness and washed out color and general objects actually do bother me. Is this what it will be like when we're finally in robot bodies?! Bittersweet dreams =*(

As for me and my eyes, we vote to remove all those 'spider web' lines completely. At the very least, tone them down. Thanks.

Something about that triangle was pointed out to me earlier today... try it with the Geth Plasma Shotgun.  Notice the triangular spread of the GPS shot?  And how it lines up with the center of each edge of the HM triangle?  That reticle change is seriously awesome for GPS users.

As regards the visual effect in general, I actually like it.  No undue eyestrain or headaches for me, and I hope that they keep the modified HUD overlay if they ever get around to changing this to be less of an issue for people.  Wouldn't mind if they toned down the wash out effect and the blur a little bit, if that helped with the problems that people are reporting.  

I feel bad for people who can't play the Geth because of this - you're missing out on some fun classes!

I had to stop playing because of it today. It's really that bad... my eyes still feel a little weird.

I don't really understand why they decided to ramp up the gamma/bloom so much and put all the random junk on the screen. Isn't the power supposed to enhance your vision? That stuff isn't an enhancement, it's just sloppy kludge.

Haha! I really did just try what I said, killed off one wave in bronze with flimsy 3d glasses on. LOL that as an experience... it actually made the hunter UI less obstrusive and the enemy red outlines softer... not to mention everything else looked like a scene moving out of a collectable foil trading card.

Some ajustments could very much be justified. Not that it is a lot worse than rage mode is on a Krogan - both are in the "not ideal" category.

Ajustments could be made, so instead of acutally blinding the player, it clears up the map - sort of a night vision-like color scheme but with no blurring of the surroundings. Furthermore it would be anextremely nice addition, if the objective arrow markers, the objectives themselves and the peremiter circles could be indicated in a color that stands much more out from the general base color of the ability.

Dislike. I had it glitched where I didn't have the overlay, and I did not like it nearly as much. The overlay makes it seem alien.

i dont mind the Geth Hunter mode. mostly cuz i got used to the Krogan Rage, Adrenaline Rush and Marksman so its not that annoying

so much fun with Hunter Mode, just don't turn it on very often. use it when you want to fight bosses

or if there is no enemy in the place where you take cover for long time
