I have a 2560x1600 monitor and it's 30 inches of pure hell. Monitor size has nothing to do with it. It's the effect.

The only issue I have is that it makes objective arrows hard to see. They should change to a Red color or something instead of the light blue.

It's fairly distracting, particularly in outdoor maps. I don't have super bright settings but I'm starting to have issues whenever the blue arrow shows up; I can't always see it in the mess.

This reminds me of when loads of people were saying that the shaky cam in Cloverfield made them motion sick and I could not comprehend what they were experiencing. I empathise if it's causing actual eye strain, cause you know, if it hurts it hurts, but seriously scratching my head as to how. Does using Google cause eye strain? it's mostly white.

I played Geth Engineer on PS3 last night and thought that the clutter/blur around the edge of the screen was a conscious trade off, causing you to use the mode wisely, but maybe if you're playing on a small monitor it's more intense? I dunno. 


Hi. well I am using 4:3 or 4:5  19" TN Panel and it is ok for me. But I could imagine that other panels which have worse refresh rate (although better colours) can be bad when causing  "ghosts" in hunter vision. Though they cannot be seen clearly.

Well, I'm not hurt by it or given a headache...

But the blasted thing totally made me look like a fool earlier. Thanks to the blue lines, the distorted vision, and the speed boost provided by Hunter Mode, I just managed to run halfway across the map because I thought a hack objective was over there.

When instead, the objective was right where I ran from.

Yeah, there's some nasty potential for confusion with Hunter Mode, and I think I'll be turning it OFF on objective rounds, at least until I've verified where the objective is.

I have much worse problem that the unnatural colors of the screen. When i enter hunterm mode i see every object twice, about 2 centimetrs (1inch) apart verticaly. But i have only single gui (and cros hair) It is really difficult to aim with it and imposibble to score headshots.

It could be because of low resolution of the game (still not increased resolution), bot i'm not sure.

Do anyone of you encoutered this problem?

There's a problem with this mode that should have been tested more thoroughly before release. It's trying to portray something synthetic that can comprehend the input unlike the humans that actually control the blasted thing. The target highlighting is superb, the WTF screen clutter not so much. Tunnel vision play is less than enjoyable and sadly makes these two characters slide to the bottom of the use list.

Although i don't have that problem. Played something like 7 golds with geth infiltrator on hunter mode without a break. I quess some people need more time to get used to it. But if problem is that big it should be changed.

Hunter mode vision is fine. It's meant to be visually obstructive as a balance against being able to SEE THROUGH THE ****ING WALLS!!!

Im not talking about if it's good or not the skill, it's about it really hurts if you play more than 20 minutes with that character. Im ok if they implement another  visually obstructive  thing.

I can only use it for a short time before my eyes start to hurt and I have to turn it off. I suppose it stops players from simply staying in Hunter mode, if that was bioware's intention.

^This, hunter mode has no problems for me except this. last time i nearly failed an objective coz i didnt see the arrow.
as for the brightness and color of the overlay i have no problems with it.

LOVE my Geth Infiltrator, but it gives me a migraine after a couple games and the massive white symbol screen clutter really messes with me.
As mentioned, it's really hard to see objectives with it, and I've even missed out on seeing actual enemies because the white symbols even block the red highlighted bad guys,

The end result is that I have to swing my camera around even more so than usual, due to the forced tunnel vision. I have to do this because Hunter Mode IS AWESOME AND I CAN SEE THROUGH WALLS to protect me and my team. Except it makes me sick.

It wouldn't be that bad if they lost the bloom, and the distortion effect. Honestly the HUD overlay should have been more then enough. Instead we get effects, effects, effects.

I personally like the effects, but health and playability do need to come first. It does look cool, though.

Keep it the same, but reduce the brightness and blur enhancements by 50% or something.

Changing screen brightness is not an option. Motion blur causes issues for some, and if brightness is low enough to deal with, then you can't see the rest of the time, especially on dark maps like the new Palaven one.
