Do not tone down this mode anyhow. It's very very VERY much overpowered, there must be a price to pay. If it get's toned down - please cut its current range to half of what it is.
That price MUST not be headache/eyestrain/nausea/migraine or in very rare cases blindness/rupture... Nothing and not even 100x overpowered bonuses than what it is currently can be justified as a "balance" for physical health issues listed aboveRecoonHoodie wrote...
Can we know do BioWare are aware of
this problem? And it will be fixed soon so we all can enjoy Geth
Infiltrator without problems?
The developers are aware. But I don't know why they won't post in this thread and at least say that they are working on a fix etc. I messaged Bryan Johnson and asked him to bring this thread to developers attention. His reply was I quote
"We are already awareI am constantly on the forum and it is pretty hard to ignore a thread that is 5+ pages little alone 10+"
How hard it is to get a developer to post a reply in this thread and say that a fix/solution is in the works. It looks like they don't care or don't want to fix or are delaying so that effected people will shut up and this thread will get burried in the forums...
I'll chime in on some reasons why nothing might have been said. From seeing various forum things over the years it's a hard-to-win situation when it comes to comments on what's being worked on.
If they say anything, they will be jumped on.
Until it's almost ready, any announcement about the issue will be jumped on by both sides, rumor will fly over what is being done or not done to fix it, people will complain it's being pushed aside for other issues, being given priority over other issues, too much changed, not enough changed, and there will be clamor for details.
Right now, there are no details. Visual option toggle? Outright visual change? We don't know, THEY don't know.
I'm one of the folks with issues. For me they're fairly minor, but for others they are not.
They're aware of the issue. They do read threads, note bugs/issues, even if they don't fix them as quickly as we'd like (and probably not as quickly as they'd like, given the necessary tri-system red tape in rolling out fixes). The party line seems to be to not give particular responses until there is something specific to say, since any off-the-cuff comments are far to easy to get quoted and thrown around as "promises."

I don't get headaches from it, but it does hurt my eyes after a while. And yes, the screen clutter is really distracting, especially when you're trying to find where the objectives are. Maybe (if we have to keep the clutter) changing the color of the markers while you're in HM could solve the problem?

If a graphic causes physical pain, something should be done to fix it

I wish people would stop saying it's a monitor issue, I'm sure most of the people with this problem are fully capable of playing other games (or indeed the rest of ME3) without blinding headaches. Just because it doesn't affect everyone doesn't mean it isn't a real issue.

After playing a single match with a Geth Infiltrator I'd given myself a mild headache, and that was with Hunter Mode switched off most of the time. I shudder to think how bad I would have felt if I'd been using it exclusively, or for more matches.

This is the internet, where if something doesn't affect you personally, everyone else must be just a bunch of whiners

The stupid Geth Infiltrator is the only 'new' character I have. I hate playing as it because of this idiotic feature.

I love Hunter mode but even with the brightness turned down the harsh lighting and blurred screen can strain the eyes. More so if you are concentrating on getting head shots with a ranged weapon. As it is right now there is no reason to play as the Geth, seeing through walls isn’t worth the trouble that goes with it.

I think a lot of the community including me thinks that hunter mode effects really hurt the eyes . If you agree just post a answer, and I hope BioWare will spot this and fix it.
And some post that is kind of a warningScotimusPrime wrote...

It's not even that bad. People will complain about anything...
if this does not give you any pain, then keep using it. for those like me that get massive headaches in less than 30 seconds when we turn it on, however, it is a problem. we are not complaining just to hear ourselves whine, it is an actual physical pain. when I unlocked my geth, after using him for one game, I had a throbbing migraine that was unbearable. 3 advil and 2 hours later, the pain stopped. a video game screen should not do this to a non-epileptic player. so yes, for some of us, it really is that bad.
If you people dont have problems just dont post. But reading the full thread shows that the Hunter Mode is giving headache a lot of people.
Why not, instead of going for the selfish, 'remove this feature' method. Go for the option to toggle it on or off, there are those of us out there who love the added graphic and would hate to see it go. There is always a compromise, don't try to get your own way so quickly.

The soldier powers and Krogan rage only last a few seconds, and they only change the image definition and color saturation. Which doesn't impair you for the main function of those bonuses: damage bonus and extra accuracy. Krogan rage may make it harder to melee some enemies, but if you're already next to them it really isn't that much of a hinderance.
But the geometric pattern overlay takes up a monstruous chunk of the screen, severely limits your field of vision, and makes objective targets nearly impossible to see. And in this case, you need to be able to move around the place with it.
What's the point of being able to see where the enemies are if you can't navigate the actual place?

What if it appeared when you activate the power, and then faded? Wouldn't that be okay?

It would be a lot better than removing it altogether, although I think some sort of toggle in the main options screen would be a better option, then those who like it can have it on, those who don't can have it off. Far more simple that way too.
I think it is a really cool feature, and really gives the perspective of playing as a synthetic.
