I'm actually fine with the hunter mode effect as is. Yeah, it did confuse me for a few waves after I first used it, but I quickly adjusted and got right back with headshotting things.

I turn it off for two reasons:

- Resting my eyes.
- Pinpoint the objective.

And then turn it back on again.

It bothers me after a while. Instead of getting rid of it I think an option to toggle it off in the options would be better.

I really hope BioWare is working on a solution for this :)

Hurts my eyes, too, and it makes it hard for me to see objectives and downed players. Blease make some adjustments.

actually i don't bother much, but i agree it can be removed
somehow like the reave annoying sounds, krogan rage mode high contrast
i think remove the high contrast color and the blue line of geth hunter is good, keep the alien character

Besides it hurting my eyes to hell I have another issue with hunter mode.

I know this is possibly a problem on my end but no where else in the game does my screen flicker black randomly except when I use hunter mode. This makes me worry the game is about to crash or something.

Please I like the design and what not but get rid of that brightness and lessen the static effect of it Bioware.

I understand the need for a drawback to the ability to permanently see through walls, but the blurred image is really painful.

Here is a constructive suggestion : why not replace the blur by making us blind to enemies outside the seethrough range (just keep the red outlines of enemies) : no need to blur the environment and landscape

I just had a lag problem in one game and the effect of hunter mode disappeared, I had red-highlighted enemies but otherwise the HUD stayed the same as with hunter mode off, it was awesome, I actually saw where I was going :D (just joking) but it was definitely better =)

I'm still curious why can't we get a simple acknowledgement from Bioware stuff in this thread?
pretty please?

Again I will suggest a fix that will please everybody, a toggle option to remove the effects that bother people so those of us who it does not effect in the slightest can keep the cool graphic. It makes me feel all Gethy!

Genuine question - what exactly about that skill causes headaches and soreness of the eyes? I'll admit to find them obstructive and I feel my effective field of vision narrows significantly, and that not being able to tell cloaked from uncloaked enemies confuses me and had messed up my kill-priorities sometimes, but other than that it's been all good. I play on a pc by the way, maybe there's a difference between platforms?

I am on Xbox and it has no effect at all on my eyes. Just think some people have weaker eyes/minds that struggle/can't process the change that occurs when switching into this mode.

I actually really like using the hunter mode, but I will agree that at first it made me really nauseated. I recall thinking it was my own eyes and putting on my glasses. Then I realize that it was just hunter mode. I am getting use to it now, but it still occasionally makes me feel physically sick.

I had it on constantly for the last 3 hours of play, no problems here. What is it about the mode that you all are having trouble with?

I have not had one problem with this neither have any of my friends .. You probably have your brightness turned up to high orrrr you just have crappy TV's. there is nothing that needs to be fixed here

Yeah I agree it is annoying and unnecessary, and after a while the hunter-mode patterns on the screen also get a bit annoying.

It already has a drawback. You lose half your shields(which ends up being a bit more than third of your total damage capacity bc geth are 3/4 sheild)  . It doesn't need any more than that.

I wouldn't mind them toning down all the "screen" effects.  Rage and Adrenaline Rush are both pretty nauseating.  They are at least short however.    (this is another reason Soldiers suck.  The ability that makes them shoot better makes it hard to aim. WTF?).

Maybe Hunter Mode.....this is just all part of the indoctrination plan!!
(sorry couldn't resist)

I have only 1 problem, and that's trying to find the objective because it's pretty hard to locate when the mode is active.

Only problem I have with it is that it's hard to see objectives with it, although I do see how it can bother some people with it's blurring/brightness. I don't get why they added that in, as the shield loss should be enough of a loss to offset the benefits.

I unlocked this with Victory pack yesterday. I was super excited. My first round, though, I like many other felt very sick. I think it's a couple of things. Items/characters/players/backgrounds are actually blurry to the sides of the hunter vision. Enemies in red are always very clear to me.

After a few rounds, I got over being nauseous, and it has been my favorite character to play. Hunter mode has saved my bacon a few times seeing large groups around corners, seeing Geth Hunters. I love that part.

But I couldn't play it for the full night, because of the eyestrain of the blurry vision.

On a different note, I'm colorblind. So unless the objective marker is dead center with hunter mode on, I can't see it as it is too similar in color to the effects. So in general I'll turn it off for objective rounds or when a squadmate is taken out. I work QA so I know this is something that people like myself face every day. Hope the similar color at least can be changed.
