I uh, think the mode is fine. In the minority here, I know.

That's what I was thinking, then I woke up one day and my vision was blurry.
It's back to normal now, but Hunter Mode really strains the hell out of my eyes.... O.o

So that overlay fix is awesome, needs the blur fixed too for perfection though.
It would just have to be the same as for Spectator Mode, how is that SO HARD?? /I mean for Bioware, your fix is awesome already

I think a lot of the community including me thinks that hunter mode effects really hurt the eyes . If you agree just post a answer, and I hope BioWare will spot this and fix it. :)

It's not broken, it doesn't need to be fixed.

What you are asking for is a change.  Calling it a fix is just insulting to the developers because you are directly or indirectly accusing them of giving us a broken skill.

if this does not give you any pain, then keep using it. for those like me that get massive headaches in less than 30 seconds when we turn it on, however, it is a problem. we are not complaining just to hear ourselves whine, it is an actual physical pain. when I unlocked my geth, after using him for one game, I had a throbbing migraine that was unbearable. 3 advil and 2 hours later, the pain stopped. a video game screen should not do this to a non-epileptic player. so yes, for some of us, it really is that bad.

If 30 seconds of hunter mode gives someone a massive headache they should go see a physician immediately.  That could be indicative of other serious medical problems.

I wonder if it would be such a problem if we had a larger FoV... or a FoV slider choice...

I haven't a problem with hunter mode, but I support this thread - something that can affect so many players should be fixed. I can imagine that it must get quite annoying. I play on a 22"(less than 23" has no input lag- any TV larger will lag) monitor and its brightness is probably nowhere near some plasmas - I can imagine a 42" powerful screen could give quite a headache.

I have a 43" plasma and i hate the efects of hunter mode and rage mode. it makes it difficult to see for sure. also I waorry about the static miages creating burn-in or ghosting

Causing eye strain, headache and in some cases migraine is OK RIIIIIGGGGGHT. Nothing seems to be broken with it. Way to go dude way to go...

I and many others can play for hours straight without using geth hunter mode and have no signs of stress. As soon as we activate hunter mode it starts to cause eye strain and we have to take a break after just one game. No signs of stress/headache on all other classes and all other abilites and also in other games so its just this "Skill" that is "BROKEN" and causing eye strain/headache/migraine in people who are not epileptic.

Developer(s) who thought it would be cool to have this extra eyecandy effect causing sever physical pain for lots of players is/are probably evil minded sadist who could also be enjoying a fixed percentage of extra sale of eyestrain/headache medication from leaders in pharmaceutical "industry". If they are not then they should fix it ASAP. Seriously How hard it is to add a toggle off option in graphics option of ME3 for this brightness enhancing/blurry screen/pulsating overlay with honey comb symbols.

I have to say that I'm not using the geth infiltrator because I can't see anything trough its hunter mode. All appears confused and messy. I tried several times but the result was in turning off hunter mode and play until the game ends.

I don't like this because I'm using a character not at its full potential and it's not my fault.
So, please, make some changes Bioware, For me it is nearly unplayable and Iìm not the only one.

At last: i don't have any problem with other characters.

I GI-ClaymoreX-huntermode on gold quite often since it's such a lag friendly build (living in Korea) and I can play a max of 2 games with it before I really start to feel sick. I have no eye problems, 20/20 vision, and I've never had this problem with a game. The blurring is the issue. I've gotten better at staying focused on the 'clear' center while using just my peripheral vision to scope out enemies/objectives in the blurry wasteland surrounding the screen. But even with this eye training, I find 2 games is enough.

I avoid this class always, can't handle it, gives me a headache and can't find objectives easily.

I personally have a 6/6/0/6/6 build for my Geth Infiltrator. I don't see the enemies in beautiful red outlines, but I don't really care: I'm still effective, and I do enjoy my ~1000 shields instead.

Definite worst - shields down and hunter mode up at the same time. ....:x

It is pretty tiring to look at for more than a round or two. I'm all for the effects, but they need to be toned down a bit.

yes indeed - geth hunter mode is indeed for Geth only not for human eyes. No, seriously, we're the one who's playing the game not Geth :P
I mean I like the whole "Predator" animation on screen thing, it's cool and it makes you feel like one but I also can't deny the fact that it does cause strains to my eyes from time to time.

Your logic is ridiculous and also wrong. The skill and mode itself are also completely independent of each other. both are required for hunter mode to work. It's a visual effect to announce the mode, no more no less, and it causes severe eyestrain and migraines, and it doesn't have to.

It doesn't hurt my eyes, but that doesn't matter. If it hurts peoples eyes or gives them migraines, it should be fixed.

On a personal note.... I really hope they change the objective markers to a different color. Keep having people ask why my infiltrator spins around half a dozen times after capping a device.

I have my Geth Infiltrator with the Hunter Mode and it is annoying not only to see where objectives are but just the screen full of clutter. I shouldn’t have to turn it off to see where to go. I do tend to quit the lobby after the match just to rest my eyes a bit as well.

My Geth Engineer doesn’t have it and I can work with it but I do hat the fact that because this power is messed up in so many ways I’ll never use it on all my Geth.

The fact that so many are getting headaches, eyestrain or whatever, should be something that BioWare and EA would at least look into. As far as I can tell, they don’t even acknowledge that that they even care by posting something in here or elsewhere that they are “looking into it.”.

Face it, its not likely they will fix it. As unfortunate as it may sound to say it, I don’t even think they care. They are after all to busy setting up the biweekly challenges and doing their weekly Multiplayer Balance Upgrades.

Each time I use it I feel like I'm watching a 3D movie without the glasses. Doesn't hurt me really, but is quite unpleasant, so I'm for the fix.
