yeah, it is a nice concept, but it's too busy.

Just got the GI, and oh man, I now see why you posted this. Annoying at first. 10 minutes later I needed some Advil to get rid of the headache.

Yeah agreed, playing long periods is ok for me and I play with it constantly on but sometimes you really need to squint at objective markers.. that blue diamond really blends out

Yeah, look, I CAN'T SEE. I CANNOT DISTINGUISH WHAT I AM LOOKING AT. I am shooting at things that are behind vehicles. I sure can't tell! I don't know what I'm looking at anymore. It turns me into the lost Geth version of the three stooges.

i just unlocked it and gave it a go today. i cant say its as bad as some make it. it is kinda goofy, but the only pet peeve i have with it is that the objective indicator (the little blue arrow that points you where to go) is REALLY hard to see in that mode.

I don't mind the HUD symbol overlay itself. Just the horrid brightness increase that makes it harder to navigate (not to mention it's giving me a headache after using it for so long).

Well, we know Geth don't use windows...maybe they don't use walls either? :P

Back on topic, I was shooting straight at walls/giant crates so many times, my team probably thought I was a complete moron. Good thing it was just a bronze match I was testing on. Oh, and of course the whole running into a wall for about 5 seconds cause I don't see it. Why aren't I going forward?!

I actually like the general idea of the screen changes. But it's definitely too excessive. Too many colours and stuff. too bright

It sorta looks like it has a double vision 3d effect going on, certainly strains the eyes over time.

My TV isn't that bright and it still strains the eyes after a while. I wasn't having issues with it at first, but you definitely feel side effects sooner or later.

I know this feeling so hard. If you're missing an entire wall, there is something wrong with the visual overlay. And I did this very frequently.

And hey, hunter mode makes you more fragile! So while you're running into walls, you're dying horribly.

Oof. This is just not good. It really wasn't so bad at first, but it rapidly got terrible. It negates the usefulness of seeing through walls if you cannot see the walls.

A really easy, cheap fix: Make it look like Tech Armor, but white.

It's the blurriness that gets me. Put as many triangles on as you want, but the blurriness makes my eyes think its out of focus and it just hurts to look at. Never use it because of that.

Brightness is not the problem. That can be fixed client-side. The problem is all the floating shapes and the weird filters and the scan lines and the blurriness make it actively difficult for me to tell what is going on. I apparently look quite a bit like a NPC, running into things and pathing poorly.

Geth do not use analog forms of visualization, we deem it inefficient.

/signed. Its a tad overdone. Makes me feel how I normally do after watching something in 3d. Fatigued. Plus it can be somewhat hard to find objectives with it turned on.

I actually really enjoy hunter-mode as is.  It's not supposed to be a mode that is turned on, and left on, much like Tech Armor.  It's something that's supposed to be switched on and off.  Yeah, you can see things through walls now.  Great, right?  But you want it to be even EASIER to use this mode?  REALLY!?  It's already easy to tell when there is a wall in the way or not.  If you're easily distracted by shiny things, and shapes on your screen...  well...  we won't even go there.

No offense, but we're not asking for it to be "easier". Just something that doesn't strain the eyes as much as that lovely Nintendo 3DS. I look at that screen for a few seconds and get an almost instant headache <_<. Some people are more sensitive to optical effects like blurriness/3D/etc. No harm asking for those people to be taken into consideration so they too can enjoy the Geth characters.

Its not the brightness so much as its the blurriness, it makes you squint to focus and puts unnecessary strain on your eyes. Try it for a few hours and see what happens.
