i did it about 6 or 7 times in a row, but it was with friends so it was fun...i couldnt do it all the time though i need some variety, it was nice though to get 70k credits each game without even using any equipment

I happened to get my Quarian Infiltrator, which is exactly what I wanted, in my very first pack.  Then soon after, I got the Widow.  So I got exactly what I wanted, right off the bat.

I wanted the Quarian infiiltrator....BADLY, turns out by the time I got it, I've already got all the other characters, and even maxed out some rares I don't even use (Drell Adeplt <_<)
Same goes for the Window, and not a tiny bit of BW, but I have the Wraith I, Javelin III, Falcon IX.....and a lot of other things wich takes dust on my weapon locker

It's puerly based on luck, that's why so much people are farming

There are other successful games that work exactly like that and people keep playing them. CoD and Gears of War are good examples. They do give you rewards for doing something above and beyond, but those are just cosmetic and the basics are pretty easy to get. That is how it should be.

But in general, the game should be good enough to stand on its own. Now people are doing things that are not that much fun such as farming FBW because they are hoping to get the things they want to use in the game. I know I am not doing a single farming match once I get my weapons to a decent level. But right now after incredible amounts of packs, I am still sitting at Carnifex III for example.

Ultimately though, if the game isn't good enough without the packs system, I think the solution lies in fixing the gameplay and not forcing people through endless streaks of characters you already have after hours of farming. This doesn't mean I don't think the gameplay is good, I'm just pointing out that slowing people down with annoying packs is not a proper solution to anything.

I hope they don't change aything.  Farmer are going to farm, and I like being able to recognize them when I see the lobby.   It keeps all the other games fun.

Don't blame the farmers, blame the game. It is has fairer game mechanics to start with far more people would be willing to random x3 in gold. People are sick of things like armor turning auto weapons into utter rubbish, instankills and missiles that doesnt even give a second of breathing room because respawning enemies instantly right next to them is just so enjoyable.

I guess it just comes down to perspective.  The mode itself isn't particularly fun to me, just playing as aliens.  So unlocking the aliens is the game to me.


To me...it's like unlocking that legendary Sword of Aeons at the end of Fable.  At the end you can choose to acrifice your sister and get the sword for yourself....but why?  You already beat the game.  There's nothing to use it for.

Same kind of thing here.  I'm playing to get the Quarian Engineer.  Once I get it....nothing to really use it for, so I'll only OCCASIONALLY play the multiplayer when i'm extremely bored.

Made so much worse if you could unlock what I wanted right off the bat.  I'd just get the quarians and krogan and call it a day.  There's a LOT better multiplayer games to play with friends than just fending off the same wave 11 times in a row, over and over.  The MP itself isn't particularly fun, it's just the fact that I finally get to play as the aliens.

Welcome to min/maxing. Any game that uses a reward structure that is randomized will see most players finding the way to get the maximum amount of rewards for the minimum amount of time. Don't like it? Go play another game with a more linear reward structure, like BF3.

I wanted to play the ME3 MP though. Don't care about BF3.

If they really wanted, they could improve the system quite a bit. People have suggested many times to not give character cards for already maxed characters. I have also seen (and made) the suggestion to change the payouts.

Won't hold my breath of course. But it would be nice if they would at least consider making the reward system a bit more friendly.
