Just logged on, froced to DL. My game now hard freezes at the Connecting to EA Servers everytie I turn it on.

TO be more serious the game is now officially unplayable, I tried clearing the cache and redownloading, still freezes in the exact same spot.


*****Possible Temp Fixes****
Switching Discs (I tested, switching from 1 to 2 after a freeze seems to let you play. Fun fact though is hard loading to disc  yielded the same freezing issue. This option seems to be the most common way to fix the issue, but again it's temporary as far as I can tell, if you shut offf your XBOX and come back later the issue could arise again)
Deleteing Cache and redownloading (I tested and it failed, others on Gamefaqs say they had success with it)
Redownloading Gamer Tag ( Havent tested yet, others here have stated it works, SEE BELOW AS WELL)
If had a disc Downloaded to HDD, deleting it off HDD ( I tried this, and Disc 1 has loaded past the freeze point up until I shut my xbox off, it then started freezing again, another user stated it still froze)

As it currently stands, none of these fixes may be permanent and you may recieve the issue if you shut your Xbox down and come back to play again.

Some attempts and outcomes:
Testing by deleting DLC, shutting off xbox and waiting for
all data (from modem) to stop and rebooting. I will try each disc in the
same manner.
Outcome: Oddly enough Disc 1 booted just fine, Disc 2 on the other hand hard froze just like disc 1 had been doing.

***AS AN UPDATE**
After finally getting around to re-downloading my GT, I have hardbooted (again by that I mean
shut off the XBOX, waited for my modem to show no data transfer and
restarted) with both discs (twice each) and havent had the issue arise again, yet.


Things untested:
Once you are able to log-in(past the point where the glitch would happen) is to turn off the "Auto Sign-in to EA Servers" option, and see if that will bypass the issue by manually signing in. I currently cannot test this as redownloading my GT has seemed to fix the issue for now

It froze once on me this morning right after I got the patch, but ive had no problem since.

Did mine several hours ago - froze immediately after the patch. Shut down, restarted, worked perfectly from there on.

I had no problems with the patch, downloaded fine and I played several games immediately afterwards with no problems

Tried 4 times, have to hard reset my xbox after the game freezes

froze the first time but worked the second, after about a minute of "communicating"

Don't have this problem precisely but on Ps3 the game just ran Luke **** all day after the patch. Lots of hangs, players dropping out of matches like flies, an odd glitch on Condor that disabled me. The game just ran like a Beta test the whole time. Haven't tried to play more since.

Maybe its an EA server issue, wouldn't surprise me.

Almost immediately after downloading the patch, during the restart I had an error saying that the disc was unreadable and it threw me back to the dashboard - strange as it's installed to HDD...

Since that one problem though it's been fine?

Right so I found MY solution...

Put my other disc in and it SEEMS to be fine it the proof will be in the pudding

Mine is installed to HDD, so that option is out. I'm going to try and switch discs and see if that does anything

Alright oddly enough this has allowed it to load, albeit much slower then usual. I feel like this isnt a permanent fix though

Just removed the game from de HD, not sure if its related, but it worked

Just re-tested my game by backing out to the dashboard and then logging back in. It worked fine immediately after downloading the patch, but now I'm getting the hang on Connecting to EA Servers as well.

Also, my game is not installed to the HDD.

Have you tried recovering your gamertag? Some of my games that have dlc sometimes have the dlc corrupted from getting disconnected from xbox live but recovering my gamertag usually fixes the problem.

I have it on xbox, and after i downloaded it on the dashboard i started mass effect 3 and it froze for me when i also tried to log in. Can it be because youre downloading it on the dashboard instead of in the ME3 menu? Im going to try downloading it in the ME3 menu and see if that works. Otherwise Bioware has another issue to fix.......

Worked fine last night, since the patch it freezes every time it tries to connect to the EA servers. Probably wouldn't be a problem with the damn online pass.

I downloaded it when I logged into the game(the way Xbox usually forces you to do)

I'll trying uninstalling DISC 1 after a few more restarts off disc 2 to see if it is truly a temp answer to this issue

Try inserting your other disc.
