 Same issue here. Cannot play the game whatsoever. The tiny 4mb update seems to be the culprit and strangely enough the deployment of it.

Tried to play with friends last night and I had the patch but they didn't. They rebooted their Xboxs and still didn't get asked to patch. They had to re-download resurgence to get the patch. The other strange thing is that it doesn't seem like the patch is actually installing properly because every time you clear the Xbox HDD cache, it has to re-download the patch.

Have tried every solution here (including one not listed - deleting installed discs), none of them work. Guaranteed 100% freeze rate. There damn well better be a "sorry" in the form of a premium spectre pack or something from Bioware for this.

Ya mine was working not just 2 hours ago, now all of sudden it freezes at the main menu when trying to connect. Awesome <_<

Game is completely unplayable for me now too, constantly freezing on Connecting to Servers. Like most people with the problem i'm on the newer model 360 (250GB 360 Slim) with the Collector's Edition and both discs installed to HD.

It's absolutely horrendous that a patch could render the game completely unplayable, but hey looks like Bioware want to drop the ball as many times as physically possible lately.

Shoot, it's happening to me too.
Played for a while this morning after downloading the patch with no problem, now it freezes while connecting to to the EA server.
360 elite
Game is installed to the hard drive.
Swapped disks, restarted multiple times, cleared cache--nothing.

I don't suppose I have to add that I'm a pretty unhappy customer at this point.

No. It is unresponsive to everything but a hard shut down.

Been happening to me as well.

- 250 Gig Slim
Content Installed:
- Resurgence Map Pack
- N7 Warfare Gear
- N7 Collector's Edition
- From Ashes DLC
- Also have Both Disc 1 & Disc 2 Installed to my Harddrive.

I tried the suggestions and still nothing. Funny thing is, I was playing this afternoon (until a "can't connect to ME3 servers" message downed me). I do have both disks on HDD and uninstalled them, but still getting this. Guess I'll have to wait until EA fixes this.

I can confirm that, the entire xbox freezes. Cannot even access the main menu at all.

Yes, it does still work.  For me it just says it is trying to connect to the EA servers and the communication symbol is spinning in the corner.  It has froze a time or two though to where nothing worked.

No, the Xbox locks up completely and a hard reset (unplugging) has to be done.

No it does not.

You have to hard crash it by the button on the front of the box

You know, if you see the MAJORITY of the posts on here reporting the issue, please don't say you aren't having problems.
