I tried the suggestions and still nothing. Funny thing is, I was playing this afternoon (until a "can't connect to ME3 servers" message downed me). I do have both disks on HDD and uninstalled them, but still getting this. Guess I'll have to wait until EA fixes this.

I was stuck "connecting to the EA server" for a while, so I swapped my disc out and was able to play. But a few minutes ago I got the same "can't connect to ME3 servers" message

I then try to play the game again and have to install the patch again and then get the same result I have had all night, unplayability.

this happens to me whenever it tries to connect to the ea servers

I'm running one of the few surviving gen 1 xboxes

Downloaded Resurgence prior to the patch (re-downloaded resurgence and nothing changed)
Neither Disc installed to Hard Drive
Complete Xbox Lock-up each time after over a dozen tries had to manually turn off the console each time.

Edit: Collecters Edition with all the bells and whistles.

When Epic released the first two DLCs for Gears 3 they had big issues as well BUT they fixed it right away unlike bioware <_<

Just got screwed out of 70k while in a gold match.

First it was a comm pack exploit that prevented people from getting their packs. Then it was DLC items not being added to packs because of server issues. Then it was DLC only packs being delayed till next week because of server issues. Now it's a patch that causes freezing. All within a grand total of 8 days. Well done Bioware, well done.


And by that, I mean: what the hell are you guys doing and why do you hire monkeys?.

I can confirm the hard freeze as well. O'well crap happens. If any tips are said i'll be sure to try them to help solve the issue that way i can headbutt people asap

Tried reconnecting and game is now unplayable, tried swapping discs and clearing cache.
N7 collectors edition all dlc installed and on xbox slim. It locks the xbox up completely, have to shut it down.

Same problem here. Old style 360, collectors edition installed on HDD. Hard freezes at EA Server screen.

Is anyone from BioWare gonna make a statement about this freezing to EA Servers nonsense? I would like to know if they are working on a solution, or just don't care enough to fix it.

Thank you very much guys for the information. We are probably going to consolidate the issue into the Xbox support forums. Where Thomas Abram will be trying to get information for us to figure this out as fast as possible.

Once we have a centralized thread I will post it in this thread and ask everyone to move over to that one.

Same problem here

Freezes when connecting to EA servers
Xbox 250gb Slim
Both discs installed to HDD
Xbox guide button does NOT work, must power down to reset.
Got insurgence pack before update.
tried all the suggested fixes
currently cannot play at all
All other games work fine

Negative.  I either have to get up and hit the power button on the console or use my Logitech remote for anything to happen.
