You guys seriously want to be stuck with generic earth maps you could see in ANY other multiplayer game...
How many games will you play on tuchanka, noveria, etc. None.
How many multiplayer games will you see set on earth, albeit two centuries before and just as war-torn. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
"Stuck" with generic Earth maps? It's Earth 600 years into the future, quite honestly you cannot comprehend the sheer volume of ****s that I don't give in regards to the maps location. I don't look where they are, just how good it looks and the layout/playability of the map in general.

Perhaps an asteroid map? like arrival. tweaked a bit.
Not only Arrival, but Bring Down the Sky for ME1... Mass Effect does have a history of asteroid settings, and this idea has potential.
+1!

Its set less than 300 years in the future.
To below post, asteroid maps would provide a nice change of pace and a unique setting.

The only logical answer would be to have any earth maps have Reapers only, since that is the only thing there.. there is no Geth or Cerberus.
So there isn't really much point in even making an earth map since its much more logical and interesting to have other maps that have been previously stated here.

This wouldn't happen anyway.. the multiplayer is supposed to tied in with the main story.

People have made good points about reaper-allied geth pre-rannoch serving as shock troops for reapers, they would be pretty effective, airdrops without parachutes, complete lack of fear, well coordinated units who use a neural network to communicate at faster than light speeds.
As for cerberus, their primary purpose in me3 is to essentially alter reaper tech for their own needs to eventually dominate reapers, them being on earth during an invasion, while nigh-impossible, could work if they had sleeper cells on the planet pre-invasion. Essentially, where reapers are, cerberus is sure to risk everything just to obtain some shiny reaper tech.

All of the current maps look as tough they could take place on some point on Earth anyway, for the most part. Point moderately invalid (planets like Surkesh and Thessia could be interesting, many others could just be another backdrop on Earth).
This one does not agree, Surkesh might bear some similarity with the amazon rain forest but its architecture and fauna are most likely drastically different, Thessia is in a league of its own, in this ones opinion.
In particular, I was saying Surkesh and Thessia would be one of the few that did not look like they were taking place on Earth. I have very, very limited experience with the Resurgence maps (I think I may have played Condor, but I don't even know which one is named what), though the Palaven one obviously does not look like it is near Earth.
Planets like Eden Prime or Horizon? They might as well be another location on Earth for all the differences they show. Even the majority of the maps now look like something a futuristic Earth could have (a giant gun in a desert, an underground base, a base in a mountain range, a base with a satellite array in a desert, etc. etc.).

Who cares about Earth anyway. We didn't visit it in first two games. Agree. No London please. Generic streets with Big Ban is not enough for immersion.

On an unrelated note, I wish I could spectate a game of Cerberus vs. Reapers, and see who wins.

But those are human colonies, them bearing resemblance to Earth is not surprising at all, otherwise humans may not have chosen to settle there or alter the environment to feel more at home.

I would LOVE to see a Thessia map. Just for the record.
A base with a satellite array in a desert, you say? Not futuristic at all, http://en.wikipedia....y_Large_Array]I say[/url].

A map based on hanar homeworld would be interesting.
And I'd like less sucking up to the OP in this thread!
All joking aside, the Hanar/Drell homeworld deserves as much attention as any of the other council races' worlds.

Actually, just for kicks, they should use a map set in the BioWare studios.
^This. We lol'd.
We think that there are far more places for the creators to send us, the Alliance has Earth in hand for now.

This one believes most players would be intrigued by fighting on the climate controlled dome drell cities or the aquatic civilization of the hanar on Kahje.
Dont see how its sucking up to me.
