Maps that should be incorporated
Actual Palaven(not a moon, whilst cool, is not the same, radiation like Haestrom could be a factor here, except for turians, obviously)
Might happen, but doubtful. Would have to come up with an art style for the entire planet, unlike the already established ones.
Kharshan(only fitting with our new batarian allies)
The SP makes it seem like there is no fighting in general left on Khar'Shan, also only Batarian classes would make sense here, and for the same reasons as Palaven.
Dekuuna(elcor homeworld, this high gravity world punishes both enemies and allies)
Would require a new version of the engine most likely, which will most definitely not happen.
Kahje(this actually has a lot of potential, fighting enemies in an underwater environment would be refreshing and challenging, and maybe we shall meet a certain hanar spectre along the way, hanar homeworld with climate controlled drell land cities ftw!)
See Dekuuna.
Irune(volus homeworld, bioware could take geographical issues pertaining to combat, as only the volus can naturally survive in its ammonia filled atmosphere)
See Dekuuna.
Hope to see something like this in the future!
I would like to see it as well, despite what I may sound like. The only 'enviromental hazzard' level I see as being possible is Haestrom, but the shield nuking may be hard on the data latency between clients. Also, story wise, there would be no use to go there.
No doubt it would take some work on Biowares part, unless Palaven will be part of some future story dlc, which then might be a guarantee for it to be a multiplayer map.
The multiplayer entry introducing the resurgence pack makes it sound like there is still fighting going on in occupied reaper territory, involving krogan battlemasters, asari justicars, and batarians, if there is a resistance on Earth, count on one being on Thessia, Kharshan, etc.
I dont see that, Dekuuna could simply be portioned into areas where there is high gravity that wears down health and shields over time, making you move slower and areas in which gravity has been artificially lowered.
Irune could have special objectives, which would allow certain players who complete them to use pressurized suits while others make do without it, staying in special oxygen zones because being out in the ammonia filled atmosphere too long would dramatically slow power use, shooting, movement, etc.
Kahje, again does not necessarily have to be in the water, and if it is, using breathing apparatuses would not be too difficult to implement, we could play in the Dome cities of the drell as well, just a thought.
You are right about Haestrom, there was a time where its involvement with dark energy may have factored into Mass effect 3, but it just seems like a dead storyline.
