does gear you loot change lvls depending when you get it? Im asking specifically about Yusaris. I want to get it asap and went to the mage tower first but i remember when i was asking about it some people mentioning the sword didn't have 2 rune slots for them others mentioning it did. Someone said they put it in their box from wardens keep then when they got it back it had lvld up

so will Yusaris be the same if i get it now at lvl 8, or later on? I remember some games like oblivion had lvld items where good items could be gimped if you got them too early, i want to make sure thats not the case here. Will it have the same rune slots/stats no matter when i get it?

Most unique items in the game like Yusaris are at a set stat level and tier no matter your level. The only notable exception I have seen is the Warden Commander set. The Crow dagger off the high dragon is also like this, though I don't consider this a unique item. These are also the only items I know of that will automatically upgrade themselves if you put them in Warden's Keep chest or sell them to a vendor and buy back later.

alright so i can safely just get Yusaris right now and not worry about it being gimped? want to be sure. I could have sworn i saw someone say they had no slots on theirs or something

whats the vendor trick to get stuff to lvl up if thats true.. do you just do the buy back option imediatly or what?

hell can i even go back and do that quest later or does it have to be done before i finish the mage tower

I did the mage tower first thing on my last playthrough and Yusaris was tier 6 silverite like it always is. So no, don't worry about gimping the sword. It will not be different.

The gear upgrading trick doesn't work on most armor. It might work on generic armor, but that's hardly useful. It will definitely work on the warden commander armor and crowe dagger. You simply drop the items in the party storage chest and leave/load the area a few times. This will do nothing if you just got the armor, but as you level up you can increase the tier based on your current level. I think you can make it dragonbone starting around 16ish.

You could also sell the items to a vendor and leave/load, but it costs a lot more money to buy them back than they gave you. You will be buying them at full vendor price.

someone on another forum was saying asturian's might was only tier 3 when they got it... i dont get it it seems some uniques are lvl based some aren't? seems kinda dumb. You'd think all unique gear would be the same lvl so you dont gimp some of the best stuff if you do it early, wtf

im gonna just save and do it to make sure yusaris is indeed not gimped since im only lvl 8. Itll be kinda a pain to do all that but im curious now

I did Broken Circle immediately after Lothering to get the stat boosts early and max out Coercion asap. Yusaris was tier 6 just like Spellweaver and Fade Wall and that was waaay before Silverite gear starts dropping. I say do it since it doesn't look like its one of those levelling items.

Asturian's Might has a Steel and a Silverite variant. I think. It was certainly steel the first two times I got it, but every time since then, regardless of my character levels it's been silverite.

You can either sell it to a vendor and buy it back or put it in your party storage chest (if you have the dlc) to level up your equip. It does not work with equip that has a set level.

Yep most but not all unique drops are fixed. Yusaris is a tier 6 Silverite weapon. I've checked in with four different character saves that have it and it's tier 6 in all of them regardless of the char's level.

Are people really certain stuff placed in the wardens keep party chest levels up? As I placed the set of heavy (Steel) chainmail you get from the bandit chief in Lothering right after finishing the keep... which was right after Lothering. That character has just finished the Landsmeet and that set of chainmail is still steel...

I noticed that all of the armor and weapons I sold to the smith at Soldier's Peak were upgraded the next time I visited. This is on the Xbox 360.

For all I know, it's the Warden Commander Armor it levels. I've had other armor it had not effect on. Others add the dagger. It does not change regular armor. I'm on the 360. It's just the one set of armor. Wardon Commander Armor is nice, but there are others that are better for fatigue.
