This is good. The ending went against almost everything Bioware and the ME series itself have been telling us. The conclusions we get to choose from are not in line of the game's advertisements and message.

At least now we know that this can't happen without some serious criticism.

exactly. great point even with those trying to derail this topic.

no its not good.

can you honestly say these guy deserve to lose there jobs?

at what point did I say they should lose their jobs? the poster says basically it will be harder to get away with lying to the public about your product without significant criticism. I agreed with that. How does that equate to me, or him for that matter, wanting them to loose their jobs?

If in the future, that makes them lose their jobs, that is their own fault for continuing to use practices that ****** off their fanbase and thus damage their product politically and economically.

edited for sp...ack..

Protip, arguing with Tazz tends to go no where quickly. He has no idea what he's talking about, and tends to drop one response in order to say something completely different.

Like his response to you right now. He clearly has no idea what the difference between a legitiment advertising complain is and one based on moralty of the content.

says the guy who refuses to comment on someone being terminated

im still waiting on that mr smart guy who apprently knows everything

I responded to you accusing me of that and you went of on some random rant about same sex relationships and other things way off topic to deflect that you were wrong about both my post and the post I quoted. The other guy was right, you are a troll....fighting a battle of wits with someone that is unarmed is so unsatisfying....

No there were some retakers there, but i think that the questions were screened, or the people who asked them were planted.

The only thing worse than trolling fans who troll forums like morons, are intelligent fans who would report Bioware to the BBB just because of an ****g ending.

In my opinion, the second you report BioWare to the BBB or the FTC or start threatening a lawsuit over the ending not being what you wanted, you lose the "intelligent" in front of "fans".

Most of us Retakers are upset because the game was not what was advertised to us. And the BBB agrees- "The issue at stake here is, did Bio Ware falsely advertise?  Technically, yes, they did."  This is from a high-level member of the BBB on her blog.

You can dismiss the BBB if you wish, but their job is to research exactly what Retakers have been claiming since day one. They are experts in the realm of false advertising. So this is major evidence that we were right all along.

The game is precisely as it was advertised to be. The problem is, it wasn't what you WANTED it to be.

Those are two completely separate issues that you are trying to lump together. BioWare, and EA for that matter, are not affiliated with the BBB because the BBB only gives good ratings to people who PAY to be affiliated with them. They can say whatever they want, that BioWare falsely advertised, that BioWare stole their wallet, that BioWare never got them a pony for their birthday... it doesn't mean one. Damn. Thing.

So it was advertised that we wouldn't get an "ABC" ending, whoops, we got that. It was advertised that we wouldn't all get funneled down to the same 'bespoke' ending, whoops, that happened too. Making pedandtic declarations seems to be what you're good at, as well as ignoring all evidence that you're wrong.

Oh, and now you're accusing the BBB of being corrupt, and critizing Bioware... just because? Don't assume that everyone works on your flawed argumentation levels Father_Jerusalem.

SPOILER TIME, SUCKAS!

0 to 1,749 EMS: Your only choice is to destroy the Reapers. Earth is destroyed.

1,750 to 1,899 EMS:
Shepard can choose to destroy the Reapers, or control them. If you
destroy the Reapers, Earth is destroyed in the process as well. If you
control the Reapers, Earth is devastated but not destroyed.

1,900 to 2,349 EMS: Shepard
can choose between destroying and controlling Reapers. Both choices
save earth, and humanity survives, however Earth's buildings still get
vaporized.

2,350 to 2,649 EMS: Shepard can control Reapers, and save Earth

2,650 to 2,799 EMS: Shepard can destroy Reapers, and save Earth. Shepard Dies.

2,800  to 3,999 EMS: Shepard is able to create a link between Synthetics and Organics,  and Earth and the Galaxy are saved

4,000 to 4,999 EMS: You can destroy the Reapers and Earth is saved. If you shot TIM on time and saved Anderson, Shepard breathes (Survives).

5,000+ EMS: You
can destroy all Reapers. Earth saved as well. Shepard will breath,
whether you attempted to save Anderson or not. (Perfect Ending)

But yes, no, completely A, B, C, right?

This is like saying that there are over 6 billion different species of humans because each one of us technically has different DNA patterns.

Save, destroy, merge.... 3 endings.  A, B, C

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. And that's if you saved the Collector's Base. If you destroyed it, there's a different set of variables.

So...

I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P.

But no, I totally get where you're coming from.

AGAIN: your expectations =/= BioWare lied.

Collector base has absolutely no bearing on the ending outside of an effect on the point value. I'm talking about the ending, not your endgame score.

Three endings. Two variables. If you want to count variables as endings, than Dragonage Origins literally had 100+ endings. Infact, ME3 really should of taken inspiration from Origins, that's an ending done right.

Not my style to report anyone. I just roll with the punches. Heh.

It's the only way for the mods to build up any kind of pattern on any profiles in here. The one's who are being reported by enough people should have their punishments served shortly. I like democracy, even on a forum.

Then perhaps you should disable the forums software from allowing pyramid quoting instead of asking people not to use a feature of the software that is allowed by the software.

so you believe everything the news says?

what ever happened to gaming being fun instead of a cryfest?

Nope

Idk what ever happened to buying complete games at full price and getting a fun enjoyable experence also what ever happened to Hard mode or expansion packs or users who dont get on the website  to insult other users or call them names or I guess in your case implying they are whineing because they decided to voice their opnions?

can you answer any of that? I'm gonna say no you can't.

PAX is run by the Penny Arcade folk right? Yeah, I don't want to give them my money anyway. Even if I did, way too far for me to travel.

The link is a point scale that shows how your score affects which endings you can choose. Whether or not you saved the Collector Base Only affects the score requirements, which is exactly what I said. You're just being silly at this point. I've already more or less directly addressed everything you seem to think that link raises.

4/10, You got me to reply several times. Might fall for again.

According to the BBB it was a valid complaint, therefore it would of been irresponsable not to report it. Bioware will think twice about lying to their core audience again

*facepalm* It wasn't a valid complaint. Its a freaking video game ending.

They didn't lie to anyone, and BBB is a joke.

So, you harrass BioWare, filing complaints with the BBB and FTC, sue them, post slanderous billboards by EA headquarters, review bomb their games on Amazon and Metacritic, try to get people banned who disagree with you so that you can turn these boards into even MORE of a festering cesspool...

But it's not your fault.

Got it.

I dont do any of that, and I dont even agree with it except for the "review bombing".
And as for that: A bad product deserves a bad review.

Should I applaud a turd just because otherwise the one who created it might lose his job?!

Besides, legitimate criticism =/= harassing.

I noticed on the BBB blog entry that many in the comment section posted nearly all of the other false advertising claims, so I would think that if Marjorie Stephens reads them that the investigation will continue.

It shows you the endings you can receive based upon your EMS. There are MANY different options, that directly refute the "A, B, C" claim.

I'm sorry that you can't understand how that works.
