Well this will not surely turn into a bloodbath between acne covered nerds for sure. On the bright though I can now legitamitely claim false advertising on Skyrim, like this.

“Epic Fantasy Reborn. Skyrim re-imagines and revolutionizes the open-world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world open for you to explore any way you choose.”

Glad I could visit the now Ash-filled rock formerly known as Vvardenfell, or the desert lands of Hammerfell. I would love to visit the town of Bruma or see the rebuilt city of Kvatch 200 years later. It’s not like the entire virtual world is locked off by invisible walls or anything. And I wouldn’t even call it epic fantasy reborn either; you are a new character this time around too, not the offspring of the Champion of Cyrodiil or the Nerevarine. Plus, Bethesda has pretty much made the same game since Morrowind anyway.

I find it increasingly amusing how people can say the retakers are whiny and wrong even though the BBB has now confirmed that Bioware falsely advertised Mass Effect 3. The people at the BBB make a living detecting things like this in business and advertising. I believe they know what they're talking about. Bioware lied. Period.

The BBB can "confirm" all they like.  It hardly means they are correct.

And that is what I am referring to by bombing. Throwing down 0s, or 10s, without any sort of statement of why you believe the game deserves that score. If you LEGITIMATELY feel that the game deserves a 0, and you are willing to explain why with more than a "TEH ENDINGZ BLOW!" or "OMG TEH GAYZ WTF!" then, as much as I disagree with the fact that you rated it with a 0, I would be willing to accept your reasoning.

I guess I can see your point, although I do not quite understand why you see it as a problem.

Personally, I disregard EVERY review with a simple "0, sucks", just like I ignore every one with a "10/10, BESTEST GAME EVAAA", even in the unlikely case that I should reach the same conclusion eventually. I would assume most people do so. It takes no genius to see that this kind of review is hardly to tkae serious.

So, are people arguing over an opinion piece on the BBB by the Director of Communications as if it's fact?

Not really. The main point is it's bad publicity for BioWare and now BBB has a bunch more misstatements to consider since they were posted in the comments section.

ill bite

ive stated many times before and apparently people easly forget......

yes you have a right but only to a certain degree imo

when i see people represent the retake movement and go to extreme lenghs to get casey or mac fired ill confront them

same for supporting the ftc thing and the billboard crap someone posted about

imo thats extreme and will kill the gaming comunity because itll open up doors for people to complain about if they didnt like something in the future

when the retake movemnt claims im on someones payroll they dont know squat because trust me im not with ea let alone payed by them

when people call me a troll for having a diffrent view yea i'll go into war mode and basicly call them out on there hypocrisy

my attitude is dont pick a fight and expect not to get hit back because i will fight for what i stand for and that is for what i like and my own view

thanks for the answer. I agree that trying to get them fired or joining a lawsuit is ridiculous. yet you have gone after me and that other guy and I didn't do either though....
My criticism of their false advertising as described in this thread's OP is what I would call a form of tough love. I have loved BioWare stuff in the past and loved most of ME3. I want them to succeed because that means good games for me to play. If that means I have to bust their chops and call them on their crap to get that, I should have the right to do that, don't you think?

heres a suggestion to all retake members

when you give negative feedback also remember negative feedback will have the developers know in the future not to go the same route again

im calling for a truce on this board because things have gotten so out of hand it feels like a war zone sometimes

that will include

no more throwing the term troll around

no more hijacking threads

no more so and so is inoctrinated because they like the ending

also if you make a thread please keep it to one because we dont need multiple threads on the same thing
i have seen that stuff not just directed torwards me but othe rpeople as well

Because, although we may differ in opinion, I consider you an intelligent member of the community.

However, there are MANY who are not, and simply see a thousand 0/10 scores and run away without investigating any further. THAT is a problem.

Actually this is false. BBB runs on companies paying them for good scores. BW doesn't pay BBB which is why they're getting shiz now.

Or maybe it is why they are being honest about the BW lies.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had already considered the rest of the statements as well for the judgement of "yes they technically lied" and merely used the 2 shown as examples.

I find such comments incredibly, and sadly, ironic.

Does you posting here not make you an "acne-covered nerd" as well?

I think we're done here. Please feel free to discuss this in a new thread, minus all the bickering.

Thanks.
