What is the first thought that comes to mind when you think about mass effect 3?

Frustrating.
That's probably the right word - so good in so many aspects, only to have a complete failure of an ending; the worst writing that's ever come out of Bioware. It's frustrating because we all know they can do better, but to really do a good job, they'd have to remove at least some of the offending elements from the ending, and replace them with something more congruent with the lore of the game, and it's scifi genre, and they won't do that. So yeah. Frustrating.

First thought is what a great game.

Shepard fighting a reaper 1 v 1.
Grunt throwing himself at some reapers to buy Shepard, crew, and the Rachni queen time to escape.
Then, after remembering those things...trying to find an elevator or anything to escape a RBG choice; shooting an incorporeal ghost-type thing with an imaginary gun which never needs reloading/never overheats yet doesn't do damage. Disappointment.

Either you're talking about Tuchanka, when there it was Shepard & 2 squaddies & Mother of Thresher Maws vs Reaper
Or Rannoch, where it was the Shepard & The Entire Quarian Fleet vs Reaper
Hardly 1 v 1.

At this point? Aversion. I accidentally loaded my last single player game the other day (I meant to do multiplayer) and had a moment of actual nausea when I saw the F*ing light beam and remembered what was coming.

The fight where Shepard is chilling on the ground with some sort of targeting laser to direct fire from some ship(s). Shepard was standing on the ground alone, facing down the reaper, dodging lasers. Some slow-motion weird stuff happened.
