Disappointment. Bitter disappointment and frustration over what could have been...
What is the first thought that comes to mind when you think about mass effect 3?

Comic book guy saying:
"Worst, ending, ever!!!"
That and the PR statements.

"Of course this would happen, it's a video game. And video games can't deliver a decent story."
So thanks bioware, you've made me into even more of a bitter pessimistic person.
(Valve doesn't count)

Endings, intense disappointment (I guess that's two, but they're tightly intertwined).
Which is a real shame. Earlier this evening, "Vigil" came on my music shuffle and I actually teared up a bit when I suddenly flashed back to the intense sense of wonder and accomplishment and grief that I got when I finished the Tuchanka mission. It's been about two weeks since I finished the game and I've only just been able to reclaim that feeling. And that's not fair. It's not fair to me and it's not fair to the devs who obviously worked so hard to create amazing moments like that. That should be the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Mass Effect 3. But the ending just overshadows everything

If I'm honest, I hear the "Leaving Earth" music and Anderson saying "You did good, child."
Ending aside, Mass Effect packed one hell of a punch.

Makes me think of all the good it could have been and since i'm pursuing a career in the videogame industry. It makes me want to make games that doesn't make the same mistake(s).

Wasted potential, indeed.
Even if they do make a reveal "this summer" that de-retards the ending (be it IT or w/e), so much time has passed, people have been pissed off for so long.
Not quite "too little too late", but close, very close.

I feel embarrassed for the friends of mine currently playing through ME1 and 2 at my suggestion and incredibly guilty when they thank me and tell me they can't wait to see how it ends.

A friend recently started ME1. Luckily he's running through it with several playthroughs before moving on to 2. Hopefully ME3 is less soul crushing by the time he's trying to take earth back.

My first thought was "crap, what did I do wrong to get the bad ending"
I finally settled into disappointment mixed with the smell of BS and feelings of betrayal because of EAware's marketing to us pre-release. Imagine my chargrin when I came to the forums trying to get an answer of how to get the "good" ending and finding out I had already seen "it".
