Same for me. My game freezes when trying to connect to EA servers. Never had this happen before until today.

The issue will likely be resolved soon enough. Problems like this aren't too uncommon when stuff is first released. I am just glad it isn't just me.

I clocked 2 minutes 47 seconds from the moment the omnitool CGI cutscene ended to the moment the game finally deigned to inform me I can't play because of these cheap, %&@$#! servers.

I've hardly been able to play the game today, and the one time it worked I suffered a CTD in the SP campaign that sent me back to square one...

This is unacceptable.

The bugs I can forgive- they're a fact of life in the gaming market and so far ME3's ingame bugs haven't been gamebreaking for me (had to reload a a dozen or so times thanks to the getting stuck on the spot bug and once the above mentioned CTD, but the rest were fairly minor), but the ridiculous authentication process I have to go through whenever I run the game is nothing short of a slap in the face, and that's when it's working properly and wasting only 10-20 seconds of my time and patience.

As someone who's been preaching against gaming piracy for over a decade I find this ridiculously draconian DRM setup completely inexcusable. If someone asked me right now to explain to him why he shouldn't pirate this game all I would be able to tell him is that it'll be ethically wrong, and even that would be a stretch given just how unethical it is to demand full pay for this travesty.

This trend can't be allowed to continue. I don't know what kind of retarded corporate types would truly believe that they're saving money by taking such counter productive steps against their own costumer base, but if this goes on there's no doubt in my mind it'll cost EA more than the pittance it might save them on the short term. If they're too dense to realize that then maybe its time for the costumers to drive the point home by committing to a class action lawsuit in demand of reparations for selling us a non-functional product.

I know I already wasted at least 4-6 hours of my time trying to solve various issues that made ME3 intermittently unplayable for sustained periods of time, be it due to Origin or the ME3 authentication servers, and time, as the saying goes, equals money.

People have had this issue since day one with From Ashes, and the problem hasn't even been acknowledged. Actually, people who send in support tickets are told that they'll be gotten back to and they're the only person having this problem. So yeah.
