Dear Adepts,

Don't want me to kill something? Kill it before I do.

Sincerely,
Sniper

Dear Snipers:bandit:,

I appreciate what you bring to the team, I really do. Your ability to take out a significant portion of health, armor, shields with one bullet, it's great it really is, but please, please, please stop shooting the enemies I have pulled. I grow weary of taking down a Maurader's shields and pulling him the middle of group of cannibals and as I about to detonate my pull, you with all you long range abilities decide to take out my pulled enemy. Please, he will die regardless, let me detonate him so that the other enemies around him will be injured. Please shoot enemies that I'm not about to explode, it's not about the score, it's just about common sense and working together.

Thanks for your consideration,
An Adept:wizard:

Current MP, ppl play for points not teamwork :(
Thing is... it doesn't even matter how good you are in game since you get over 100k xp anyway <_<

If I'm an adept, or batarian on a team full of snipers I will often pull/stasis/submission enemies and leave them for the sharpshooters to take out.

Also if a target looks like a good candidate for a BE it probably looks just as good for a sniper headshot, so I try to set up the non obvious members of a mob - like the pyro in the back, or the cannibal coming around the corner...

I see this alot and I like it, in return I do the same, I also freeze, incinerate and leave the reeling enemy to be killed by teammates.

The guy with the sniper probably thought you needed help taking down the last couple bars of health on the enemy you had floating in the air.

I lay down stasis bubbles for crowd control (guardians love to plow right into them) or to lock down something scary like a geth hunter or phantom. I don't care what happens to them. Lots of times, snipers will follow my AA around because still targets are much easier to shoot, and this doesn't bother me.

I know some AAs like to stasis+sniper, but if they can't kill something as fast as another sniper that way, it's better for the team if that other sniper is doing the killing. And biotic explosions with stasis are weaker and don't make much sense.

That said, I'm sure there are AAs who don't appreciate any of this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, don't some ammo mods detonate biotic combos?

Also, until you've got 20 headshots w/ a heavy pistol, color me unimpressed.

WARP AMMO

Fun times.

Edit: wait... that doesn't detonate, that just increases damage :crying:

Do they? I've tried this with warp ammo and it doesn't seem to work.

Also, until you've got 20 headshots w/ a heavy pistol, color me unimpressed.

That's a rather easy target for a class that can completely freeze an enemy.

Dear Asari Adept,

Hello, it's me, Human Vanguard. I love it when you warp things: makes my job a lot easier...I'm sure it makes yours easier as well, seeing as there's less things focused on you and more things focused on me. Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
Human Vanguard.

P.S. Ease up on Sniper, he's had it rough these past few days.

Thank you very much my Sniper friend

it's so nice to see snipers that don't just post some smartass comment and are actually willing to work together with their team

I don't use stasis. The warp/throw detonation is much too satisfying.  I actually don't mind snipers as long as their proactive. I played a match as a human sentinel with three geth infiltrators against geth. Those synthetic bastards were very industrious. But, they were glad to have me when the primes and flames came out.  I don't like snipers that just hang back looking for targets of opportunity. You can turn yourself invisible for a reason.

I agree, I hate when someone kills someone who I have primed for detonation. I play an Asari Adept mostly, so I have started keeping a stasis up in a choke point to make snipers happy, then using warp-throw to kill everything.

P.S. I also hate adepts who don't know how to work with other biotics though. I recently played with another asari adept who refused to work together. If I painted an enemy with warp they would throw another warp on before using throw. If I put someone in stasis they would shoot them rather than detonating them. It got annoying to have to work so hard to be able to use a BE when I had another adept in the team =/ Thats why I like being teamed up with drell adepts or Asari justicars with my AA. The two power sets work so nicely together.

Oh, absolutely. As a sniper, I prefer to pick targets that others are not going after, or targets that are trying to assault/get in close rage of other party members near the front of the battle. We're all on the same side, no need to fight for kills (that someone has pulled, esp).

The only time I snipe someone else's afflicted target is when they're iced on the ground, partially behind cover, or if they've just flopped onto the ground after a stasis. Basically, times when it appears the biotic/team mates have moved on from that target or can't easily get to it.

Yeah when other adepts seem incapable of detonating a teammates biotics, especially when they can detonate their own, it's frustrating.

About three nights ago, my AA got in a lobby with a Drell Adept. He ran around Reaving things while I Tossed at them, and there was Biotic Explosion goodness all around.

And then around Wave 6, he got on his mic and started yelling at me for leeching off him.

I hung out with the turian sentinel after that. Sadness.

This on so many levels, I know many Asari adepts will throw up stasis at choke points for their teammates (I know I do with my asari vanguard) and the focus on detonating enemies that dont get affected by stasis with their other powers. It's a pretty good team effort at that point because if the sniper is already good, hitting a stasis target is just too easy.

What the hell, if he's reaving things he has no way to detonate other than cluster grenades, unless you were on bronze there's no way thats viable...what an idiot.

I see that and the reverse (an AA who will refuse to detonate anything you reave) WAAY too often.  You'd expect people to know better in gold, but.. nope.

dohoho
does he not realize he's getting credit for kills when the biotic explosion kills something?  lol
